  1. Not a photo but this model is in the Corris Museum so you would hope it might be accurate.
  2. You may also want to bear in mind that the Minitrains loco is 3.5mm scale while the Bachmann loco is 4mm scale.
  3. My Pennant layout based on Eskdale Green but with a few more tracks to add operational interest.
  4. Miteside Station in 5.5mm scale.
  5. The 5.5mm Scale Modular Group is a new group for anyone interested in modelling narrow gauge railways in 5.5mm (1/55) scale. Members are invited to create their own modules that can be joined together at exhibitions and open days to form larger layouts. At present we use 16.5mm gauge track and so model 3ft gauge prototypes but we hope to add 12mm gauge in the future. The key to ensuring compatibility will be our specially designed Connecting Boards. These will be supplied ready assembled and with track in place to new members who just then need to ensure that their module matches up as linking to one Connecting Board will link to them all. Members can create their own modules based in any location and period of time they choose and, when joined to other modules, they will then form a series of ‘Linked Dioramas’. So it would not be unusual, for example, to see an Irish mixed goods train set out past a halt on the ‘Owd Ratty’ and then cross a trestle bridge on the South African veld before arriving at a station in Southwold. It is all about meeting friends, enjoying your modelling and having fun! The Group has a Facebook page, 5.5mm Scale Modular Group, where members can keep in touch and swap ideas and our website will be launching soon. We look forward to welcoming you on board!
  6. Have you added some weight Chris? I have used Tebee's prints on a Kato chassis and found additional weight was definitely needed to get good running.
  7. My NCB 6 converted to a 3ft gauge loco in 5.5mm scale. Sorry if this is a heresy!
