  1. Remains of LOR pillar, drinking fountain and dock wall.
  2. Another useful view of the Shed, dock gates and backdrop. Note the very tall chimney!
  3. It's good to see the pictures of the overall model, thanks. Lovely brickwork too. A September 2020 show shouldn't be too much pressure.........!
  4. The inspiration for the layout - Jim Peden's photograph showing the MDHB shed, the Riverside Branch, the Waterloo Corn Warehouse, Bibby's, a transit shed, Princes Half Tide Dock and the MDHB lines. (Picture taken after demolition of the LOR, which ran between the shed and the dock wall). Where else could you see short BR freight and passenger trains running on an extensive industrial system, with a unique elevated electric railway which was not nationalised?
  5. One cause of the corrosion problem?
  6. Close up of Hartley's distinctive masonry for dock walls in Liverpool.
  7. Map of Princes Dock area showing BR connection to Waterloo Goods, and the Riverside Branch.
  8. Class 02 diesel replacement for Pugs, as seen at Salford Goods.
  9. Dockside crates and other loads, before containers.
  10. Remains of MDHB track, signal, lighting, water fountain and dock wall at Princes Dock.
  11. Gateman/policeman's hut alongside dock wall.
  12. Brilliant and inspiring work. I would have awarded it First Prize! Congratulations.
  13. You really can justify a L & Y Pug on a Liverpool dock layout.
