Really worth complaining about? I am in the same boat and accept that it takes times to process all orders. It seems people, like me, who ordered the Enparts model have had to wait, perhaps there was an issue with that pallet?Anyhow, it seems those are now being shipped.

I do sort of get it, I've paid for mine a couple of months ago and still no notification here, and it's Bank Holiday weekend... but it is what it is, its only slight feelings of jealousy that some have got theirs already even if they were paid for after mine. I'm sure though they will prove to be worth the wait.

I notice in the Ambergate pic that the marker lights are in use too.

They were indeed symmetrical - i.e diagonally opposite each other. A big clue on the bodysides is the position of the footstep cut-outs, they're in the right place albeit a handhold or two is missing.
No real excuse for getting this wrong as the water filler areas are clearly visible in photos and if you can work out which photos very obviously show the two different sides of the loco (green livery - one side had a left facing lion and the other side had the short lived right facing lion; there are photos of both sides readily available onine)
Is there any drawings of the layout of the water tanks, boiler etc? Just thinking there must have been a lot of internal pipe work if there was only the one tank.

I've had an email from Royal mail regarding a parcel from "Multi Channel Logistics" I'm assuming the Fell will be on its way soon.

well thanks all for your helpful advice - seems like it has survived.
I obviously missed the lecture on coreless motors: but having re-read all of the blurb that came with the loco I can't see anything that warns the average idiot (me) that they shouldn't do this.
Ironically the one part that has been giving a few people greif has probably actually saved you.

And there is the pic of D602 at Llandrindod Wells as mentioned in the thread. I'd better get my credit card out.......

Only green without yellows and the blue ones left in stock.

Really need some quality Chiltern numbers in 4mm so I can renumber the pair I have
I wouldn’t worry too much, 012 has been running around with at least one oversized 6 on it, 14 has had oversized nose end numbers, I think 015 has had missing numbers that I can think of off the top of my head.

This is YouChoos’ own project page, which contains a link to the recording.

At 2' 15" onwards, the throb is captured very well but with a high-pitched hiss interfering with it. That assumes that the sound-only recording is of the project and not the real thing!
Possibly trying to recreate the whine of the traction motors? It’s the one thing that is very distinctive when your right behind the locos but seems to be missing to me.

Does anyone know what this is?
https://www.dccsupplies.com/item-p-113157/close-coupling-kit-for-class-68-oo.htm
They seem to have the tightlock couplings and the spring plate as separate items and I wouldn’t have thought the plastic bar with the NEM socket would count as a ‘kit’.

On a similar note to this the factory fitted sound ones I ordered (1 of each so 6 in total) through Ian Allen Birmingham (Supplied by Gaugemaster) only 4 actually ever turned up - The 2 DRS ones and 1 each of the Scotrail and Chiltern . . . Whatever happened to the other two is a mystery as all were ordered at the same time. I can only assume that with such a high demand certain shops may have had less than there orders thus some customers have missed out depending on when it was ordered and in cases like Ian Allen what they had received already.
On the upside of all of this is the numbers that I missed out on have been announced as part of the next batch so not exactly a bad thing end of the day just annoying.
I'm not sure how many sound fitted they had on order, the none chipped 68's arrived at the Birmingham shop about a week after other retailers and they only had 2 of each for selling off the shelf. 002 had one with plenty of glue around the nameplates and one with nameplates a snowdon mountain loco would have been proud of. One of their 010s had something substantial loose in the box and the other one had sand pipe rattling around which I purchased at a discounted rate. I didn't check the others.

Got the first of 2 DCC fitted locos today, 68005, really impressed with it, straight plates, no glue marks, no damaged yellow ends. Had to smile though in the accessories pack, had 2 tension lock coupling in the bag plus the one on the loco but no second valance.
I've had a nightmare with valances, emailed first and felt very fobbed off, rang and was told "I'll send the one out that's in my hand now" after 2 weeks with no sign I rang again to be told "we've got none, but we will get back to you" still waiting. Other than that it's a fine model, it's just the small bits letting Dapol down.
