The other layouts worked okay however I still have problems with this question for my new layout. Despite reading Brian Lamberts notes and advice from members I am unable to grasp the electrics side of the hobby so excuse me for being a bit thick Doug Bailey

Thanks for the comments, just to clarify this layout is DC and the points are used to isolate the sidings Regards Doug Bailey

The attached plan shows my new layout with the power connection When either of the two points are operated to allow access to the sidings their appears to be a short circuit All points are electrofrog Would it be possible to advise me what would be required to allow these to operate Thanking you in anticipation Doug Bailey

Thank you all for your comments, what I was really after was someone to indicate on my plan what was needed by way of where the power should be connected and where the gaps should be. If any none is prepared to do this I would be very grateful Regards Fordend

I have attached a layout plan, all points are electrofrog and there are no gaps. When I open the point for the siding the locomotive stops, can you help with what I need to do to rectify this Regards Doug Bailey

I am having trouble wiring my new layout. I have attached a plan which shows where the current feed is but cannot work out how to supply power to the track marked with a circle. All points are electro frog. Any advice would be appreciated regards Doug
