Building ( slowly ) a 00 model of Harrogate station and goods yard as per the 1935 track plan, with a view to either steam, 1960's, BR blue era and especially 1977/78 interests... so fairly broad scope for variety with some poetic license. Also building an N gauge layout based on Brunswick station, though developed as Harrogates main terminus has the 1862 ( current ) station not been built.
Former member of SVR in the late 1970's and Wensleydale railway for many years but inactive due to ill health. Interested also in the 3 Leeds to Harrogate routes, Wharfedale lines, Harrogate to York,Pilmoor,Pateley Bridge,Nidd Valley,Thirsk, Northallerton,Masham and the narrow gauge lines that built the reservoirs served by those lines. Also Melmerby ROD, the Harrogate Gas Works narrow gauge railway, Prototype HST and APT-E, Pullmans and of course... DELTICS
Locomotives mainly modern image 50's to 80's diesels and preserved steam.

  1. Hi all, I'm trying to find details of the interior seating of British Railways cinema coaches, especially one that visited Harrogate with Midland compound locomotive 1000 and stayed in the South bay platform in the early 1970's showing various British Transport films; drawings and photographs especially. Also seeking photographic details of the Bulmers cider Pullmans, especially interior shots for a project, especially cars EVE (exhibition and bar ), PRINIA ( which was listed as a museum car in some records, and in others listed as un-changed seating layout ) and MORELLA ( which was the cinema coach ), though pictures of all are sought as well as external shots. I'm already aware of the body types and current location details. Also looking for pictures of the 6000 loco association support coach MK1 BSK especially any in the short carried Bulmers colours, and the short liver MK1 CK, also originally painted in Bulmers colours and now scrapped. I would love to hear from anyone who was connected with these coaches at Bulmers, or who remembers travelling on them. My own memories are of a truly wonderful experience crewing Aquila with VIP guests. Thankyou in anticipation.
