This is my first blog ever and I'd like to say a few thing.
I got my first Hornby train set when I was 5 and ever since I have liked model railways.
Recently I have started my first proper, detailed layout (called Typs Junction, set on the outskirts of London) and following in the footsteps of some of my favourite layouts, New Bryford, Loftus Road I have decided to go all modern traction.
I'm not writing much today but look out for new posts and images soon.

Today I was thinking about ideas for my railway and I thought about the variety of card models out there. I'm quite limited since my printer prints very badly so I'm thinking about using the local library one.
Since my layout is modern so some Metcalfe and Superquick models are unavailable to me since I'm trying to keep older buildings to a minim.
Wills kits might be a solution but still. I enjoy making plastic models more than card models so gaugemaster plastic kits are a good option.
Anyway that's enough from me now, since I like to write short updates.

Today I was thinking about one of my favourite train stations, Bristol Temple Meads.
I looked up some photos from the days back when the station was filled of British Rail HSTs and smaller units.
I found some photos and saw what sort of place it was 10-20years ago.

One photo was a picture of a Virgin Voyager going through Bristol Temple Meads, this really made me think...
Virgin trains don't go into Bristol.
After a bit of research though I found this on Wikipedia:

The Class 220 Voyager was built to operate Cross Country intercity services. 34 four-car sets were built between 2000 and 2001 and operated by Virgin Trains. With Virgin's loss of the Cross Country franchise, these were all transferred to the new operator CrossCountry in November 2007.

The thing is that CrossCountry trains do go into Bristol so it must of been at the time of the change of hands or maybe Virgin operated Voyager services into Bristol, though I found a picture of a 5-car unit with red sideboards on a line in Bristol (that picture is attached) on google earth. So that might of been a Virgin Voyager. Virgin Trains is my favourite operator followed bro GWR. What do you think?
Please take a look at the pictures I found on the internet- they are attached to this post.

It is post 2004 small country station with a heritage line. I'll be posting pictures soon! Thanks for reading this small message!
