  1. Slice the tatties and fry them, delicious, especially if cooked in the pan with some bacon
  2. Worked well enough when I was playing in the 1970's, no-one complained, I believe it was Gloucester who started it.
  3. Yes the year before I was eating root crops all winter, but my leeks all went to seed, I blame the weather, can't possibly be me lol.
  4. I lost all my roots in one bed, carrots, parsnip and beetroots all germinated and failed to grow, found the problem and fixed it, ingress of hungry Beech hedge roots burst in through the membrane, now fixed, Onions were brilliant, so was everything in the greenhouse, so swings and roundabouts again I guess.
  5. There's one clock that wasn't reset.....................................................my body clock, is it Monday?
  6. Disagree, a scrum is an option that can be a launch pad for an attack or to get a defence, an example would be after a " not straight" throw into a lineout, the skipper can use a scrum as a weapon, it is not just a way to restart again. The problem is sides are not really doing it as well as they might.
  7. Most rugby scrum penalties are because someone is cheating, not driving straight, slipping their bind, or boring into the hooker, this is not because someone is bigger or stronger, they just cheat if they think they can get away with it. Simple fix for the woes of the scrum without changing any laws, just enforce the current law, the ball must go in straight, not behind the hooker into the second row. Makes the scrum a contest again and will remove most of the reasons for trying to cheat.
  8. She's about a mover- Sir Douglas Quintet
  9. There's a nice little coastal pad up the coast a bit, though not too keen on the long walk from the heli-pad to the front door, still the butler can get me in the Bentley............................... Dunbeath, Caithness, KW6 6EY | Property for sale | Savills
  10. More wind and rain, though not cold at 10 degrees, yesterday saw a confirmation that buying insurance is pretty much a waste of time as they never pay out. The storm removed some harling from the conservatory low wall, only around10-12 years old. Assessor turns up (all the way from Geordieland) who says " no chance", which I knew was coming anyway. "Oh and by the way, don't use the same bloke to replace it as he didn't put enough on". Not surprised by that either as he turned up on a horse wearing spurs and a stetson hat............(well not quite but you get my drift)............fricken tradesmen...................
  11. Especially if those hobbies include playing a large drum kit and morris dancing with heavy wooden clogs on........................................................
  12. Nice swansong for Ben Youngs to end his England career, most capped England player, without doubt the best 9 we've had in over a decade.
  13. I think the only time I eat coriander is on a curry in the Indian Restaurant, the thing I find tastes soap is Avocado, for the life of me I cannot understand why people eat them
  14. Little house on the hill-Willie Nelson
  15. We recently has fibre optic fitted, can't say as I can see any difference really, most forums are still slow, though I suspect that is not Open Reach's fault.
  16. Saracens will be happy as everyone hates Wasps now......................................................
  17. England players retiring, it will be interesting to see if the RFU and England veer away from the "let's win the next match at all costs and to hell with planning for the future" scheme that Jones used to try and bulk up his cv.
  18. Suite, Judy blue eyes- Crosby, Stills and Nash
