Is there any update on the sound decoders? Both as to when they might be back in stock and as to if the refurbished sound file ever got the cold start added? Have a DC 37 402 and would very much like to get it running and sounding proper :)
I've fitted Leggoman Biffos new Accurascale 37 sound chip and it is just as good as the Accurascale pre-fitted ones. If that's any help!

I suppose the big moment will be if (when?) Bachmann announce their Version 2 of the 66, will it arrive before Accurascale can get theirs to market in 11/12 months time? As we saw from the 47 and 37, announcement to delivery was very very quick from what we've been used to, so they could well be sitting on one almost ready to go. It surely would be priced at least the same as the 37 I'd have thought, which I note had a £5 price rise on batch 2 this year (£250 RRP).
To be honest even if Bachmann do do a new 66! Their carry on with pricing has made me look twice at all their releases and think 'Nah'. If Accurascale can sort out the loose grills and axle box covers I'll be more than happy to continue keep supporting Accurascale.

Hi Simon
On my Hornby 08 I put two sugar cube speakers behind the radiator grill and hid the stay alive on the cab floor. I removed the eight pin base on the chassis and just hard wired the four main chip wires. Or alternatively you could just send it to Richard at Roads and Rails to do.

I'm hoping to see a lot of these for sale over the weekend at Modelrail Scotland...

In this day and age they most likely do a deliveroo from one end of the hall to you. Easiest job the wee guy on the scooter will have all weekend.

37 262 Dounreay leads 37261 Caithness on a diverted household coal working. Meanwhile 26 032 sneaks through with what I think are a pair of Loriot wagons.

So bit more detailing whilst thinking about the future. I'd been watching a couple of Everard Junction videos and took the hint that I need some weeds on my sidings.
I've also been trawling through the quaint goods yard thread and came across this picture which has a couple of presflo's in a siding that can be unloaded direct to vehicle which got me thinking I could do that in the scene above. My presflo's are away at the moment but will dig them out. Just need to find the right cement lorry to be collecting for the nearby building site. Photo originally posted up by Monty Burns
Try Road Transport Images for your trucks. They have a great selection of cabs and trailers etc. So you can mix and match.

Thanks to all that came and saw Deadmans Lane over the two shows.
My knees were starting to ache after two weekends in a row.
11 weeks off now until the next outing at the Model Rail Scotland show in Glasgow on 24/25/26 Feb 2023.
The time will be spent catching up with a few maintenance and detailing jobs.
I Loòk forward to seeing it at Glasgow 23 Mick. I've enjoyed watching the videos on you tube.. There's one on you tube just now and it's drone footage of the actual area. It's very interesting.

Hi Pete
The layout looks excellent in the Hornby mag. The article was well worth a read. Well done 👏✔️

Class 37, by Accurascale

Hi
Some of my Accurascale class 37's also have the tendency to start up and cut out. I found that gently lifting the loco off one side of the track and draining the powerpack until the lights go out and then placing the loco fully back on the track seems to cure the problem. I might add all my locos have had the volume aready reduced from 192 to 180 as soon as they come out the box. Hth
Ps I use a Lenz 100 system which is 15v.
