  1. If this is for your Chinese layout there are several oriental 1/80 buildings on Amazon as I’m building a modern image Japanese 1/80 loco depot I’ve found these May be of use to me ,,,think they are card by Sankei model craft
  2. My own fault due to working away I left my responsible teenage daughter to post 3 eBay items for me on Thursday I did instruct her 2nd class signed for and she insists that what she asked for at the counter, however I’ve just received a message on eBay from a buyer stating his model didn’t arrive on Saturday and he’d stayed in so it must be lost, on asking daughter for the receipts it seems she only sent them 2nd class no signed for so not a happy bunny however this was on Thursday morning and the item was going to a rural scottish area, I just hope the buyer isn’t pulling a fast one with me and is “playing” on the fact it was sent mistakenly 2nd only just find it odd how after 3 days he assumes it’s lost, we’re talking an £85 emu so not cheap
  3. I did a disability course a few years ago and part of the curriculum was vision, the lecturer told the group that if you ever loose your sight or have vision impairment one of the last clear colours you see is yellow hence it’s use on things like Pelican crossing button boxes, step edges even down to nature with many poisonous reptiles being yellow and the body of wasps and bees,
  4. Hi, hopefully a circuit around the spare room with a hidden fiddle yard, I’ve more locos than rolling stock so a small traction depot, there’s a pretty smart loco depot available on Amazon from a Japanese retailer as well as a few buildings, I’m still pondering over track , I like Shinohara but the old points aren’t really DCC friendly and no one knows if the business will continue to operate in the future, second choice is the new Bullhead track from PECO, the points are DCC ready and pretty prototypical looking too. Now the colder days are here I can spend a few hours starting baseboards and track planning, thank god for YouTube best reference material anywhere. Pete
  5. Hi Ive a huge 1/80 collection built up over the years all ready to run when TOMIX entered the market in late 90s , I haven’t bothered with the 285 or 681 as simply cost , I did get the basic 4 car 223 set as like JR West items, I’m hopefully going to commence on my layout this winter fingers crossed,
  6. Kittle Hobby have lots of US HO Steam era at a reasonable price http://www.kittlehobby.com
  7. I'm having an "issue" with an eBay.de seller at the moment ok they post to the UK and did post well on time, however my HO rivarossi 627 single car DMU was unboxed I don't remember reading it was, however it came with a ripped out motor bogie and all the buffer details etc ripped and broken off on one end. I've taken photographs and waiting for a reply from the vendor concerned .
  8. I think FS used grey I'm not sure but think SBB held on the longest to the green, the orange eurofimas were also a breath of fresh air wonder if any are still in orange today?
  9. Just something I've always wondered that why most mainland European countries seem to have adopted a uniform green for their passenger stock from early 20th century, is it the same shade for all that adopted it? It seems the 60s most broke away with SNCF adding a grey window area, DB adopting several schemes and OBB red and white.
  10. I have found more items available "weltweit" on eBay.de than appears on an eBay.co.uk European search also if I look on my iPhone or tablet often I don't get as good as results as if on my laptop! It seems strange as recently I've had a few parcels from Germany with a customs declaration on the box!
