Are you trying to throw 2 points simultaneously because a few years ago when I was in a workshop building layouts we tried the Peco PL35 and found it was incapable of firing 2 at the same time. Power supply mades no difference the only solution was a better CDU
I was, at first, trying to fire the points in pairs, but soon realised this wasnt going to happen, so now fire each individually.
I think I will try another cdu.

Ive looked through a few threads on here with questions regarding Peco point motors, but not found the answers im looking for. Ive also checked out Brian Lambert's Flashbang website.
On Baker Wood Bunker, ive only got 4 turnouts and have gone down the road of fitting them with Peco PL-11 side mounted point motors. These are switched using the Peco sliding contact levers, with power supplied by the aux output on my Hornby Elite controller, through a Peco PL-35 CDU.
The problem I have is that only 2 of the motors throw the turnouts correctly. The other 2 tend to bounce, meaning the points don't throw. I tried a fair amount of adjusting to put the situation right, but to no avail. I contacted Peco technical department about the problem. They suggested the Elite' power output isn't enough to power these motors, which I thought odd, as when tested, it showed up as being 15.8V.
So, I am now looking at using an alternative transformer and am drawn to the Gaugemaster, cased, transformers. But which one should I use? 16V or 24V - Im leaning toward the latter, but will this be too much for the cdu?

Isn't that the area that just has the internal user Army van instead of a loco? Not seen much excitement about that on here!!!

Great to see this layout on Saturday at FEBEX.
Its been a while since I saw it in the flesh, so it was great to catch up with it, in all its beautiful splendour.
If you've never seen, get to a show where its appearing - you wont be disappointed!
Thanks chaps!

I've been lucky enough to have seen both of these layouts in the flesh and have to agree that they are really superb examples of what can be achieved in 2mm.
Railways in South London are more interesting than North of the river and the time frames are right up my street!
Many thanks for posting.

Seems a bargain and have been browsing a copy this morning. It is a shame there are some real howlers in the photo captions - it always makes me a bit wary of such a publications usefulness, as a source of reliable research material, when this happens.
-
3 car Class 166' have been working a few diagrams on the GWR Weymouth line for the past 5/6 days - 2O98 has been stabling at Weymouth for the next mornings 2D05 - as well as a few forays to Salisbury - 2O01 from Westbury / 2E16 from Salisbury, to name a few.
-
And, no doubt, there are probably hefty penalty payments, if you stray into the red.

That "Keith Lemon" heap of Eartha Kitt is another over the top, unfunny act that seems to be a bit of an "Emperor's New Clothes" celebrity. My aunt and my cousin love him, but I'm sat there thinking "he's not wearing any talent, can't you see it?"
He is marginally worse than the bloke who is "Mrs Brown" - a show that gets load of laughs for gutter comedy.

How about doing a bit of double tracking rather than extending?
It may not be that exciting for many, but I think, as someone has already commented, its quite a long railway and I just think it would add something to it, having the opportunity to have trains passing each other - just as at the Great Central.
With the potential increase in passenger loadings, thanks to the Broadway extension, could a portion of double track, somewhere between Winchcombe and Cheltenham, allow for a slight increase in the number of train services?
Any extension at the Cheltenham end, would be a winner, if a little more difficult to achieve.

Tom Kerridge - another poncy foodie trying to make simple food too pretentious and over the top.
Keith Floyd was the best TV cook - well, other than Nigella at her sauciest best
I used to work with another guy who would join me in crewing up a one way trip into space for musicians - but that's probably best left to another thread!

Welcome to my thread.
Baker Wood Bunker is a small shunting layout set on an internal military railway. It features a standard gauge line that serves a transfer shed, where ammunition is transferred to a narrow gauge system, for storage in an underground bunker. The inspiration came from the systems that used to be in place at Dean Hill, Chilmark and Trecwn. The layout is being built to fill those Winter evenings when running my garden railway, Summer Hampton, isnt practical. I also miss doing a bit of modelling, as the garden railway doesnt really give me the opportunity - so Baker Wood Bunker scratches an itch! Its not meant to be a complete and perfect rep. of a military railway, just a bit of fun. For example, the standard gauge railway will be utilising borrowed Longmoor locos and rolling stock hijacked from a whole host of other places.
The layout is 5ft long and 33" at its widest end. Its built on mdf, framed with lightweight timber. Control is dcc for the standard gauge and analogue for the OO9.
Construcion started in January 2017 and is about 3/4 finished. Here are a few photos of where the layout is currently and links to the very first video I did for YT and the latest one (I wont clog up the thread with loads of links to the others).

If we are just looking at the livery, I have to agree, 47813 looks best.
However, the overall shape of the loco and around the cab windows, looks odd to me.
