  1. I didn't think the oil tanks were so much of a problem, I was planning on having a few tanks with the rest on the backscene, the bigger one is compressing the track into a realistic length for a spare bedroom, currently playing around with AnyRail trying to make something that works for me. There may also be a few Whovian Easter eggs, like the fire engine, a few bored UNIT troops roaming around, and the odd primord lurking.
  2. That's where I first saw the facility oddly enough, even my name's an obscure Doctor Who reference (100 points to anyone who guesses it without Google). I managed to find where most of the location shooting was done from the aerial pics.
  3. I'm very new to the modelling lark, I had Hornby and Bachmann stuff as a child, but I'd never really thought about seriously modelling until very recently. A while back I obtained a number of Berry Wiggins branded 14t tank wagons and had the idea of modelling at least part of the old Berry Wiggins refinery as it would have appeared c. the 1950s or 1960s, however I'm more than a little daunted at the prospect of trying to compress the scene into the 12' by 4' space I have available, part of me secretly wants to include -everything- and all the sketches I've made thus far are far too big. I'd also like a little assistance choosing appropriate off-the-shelf buildings and scenery as I'm quite quite unskilled at scratchbuilding. Rolling stock and locomotives are no problem as I have about 11 Berry Wiggins tankers and an industrial 0-4-0 saddletank fairly similar to the one actually used by the refinery. I managed to find some photos of the refinery from the air as it appeared in about 1950, which might be some help.
