Fabulous line up!
In the diary…looking forwards.
Is there still a Saturday evening social at a drinking establishment? ;)

Attended the show for the first time today and have put next year’s date in the calendar already.
Terrific show with great quality layouts and good mix of trade.
Great to see Wheal Elizabeth back out on the circuit again in BR blue mode.
Thank you to all involved for making it an enjoyable day out and worthwhile drive from SW London 👌

Just a reminder that Stoke Doyle Goods will be appearing at the Filey Show today.
Looking forwards to a good day of playing trains and meeting a few members of this parish.
Should be a nice friendly show and worth a visit. St. John's Church, Filey, 10.00-16.00.
An emergency tin of Lynx is on standby if it starts getting too aromatic...
Cheers,
Mark
Hope all went well Mark and the environment was not too pungent 🙃
Looking forward to hearing the debrief back on here...

Great event. Thanks to John Aldwick and other members of the Association for such a well organised event.
Stayed in the DCC Friday evening as could only attend the show Saturday. Great to see a collection of inspirational modelling all under one roof and of course meet old friends and make new ones. The challenge produced some excellent varied entries - curious to see who the winner was!
Only 8 years wait until the 70 years event now… 😀

I think I'm not alone in having more stock than needed for the space available. It was becoming a PITA getting stock in and out of their original boxes.
I did a Google search and came across https://trainsporters.com/pages/o-gauge-storage-box
Whilst not the cheapest option, I already own a large number of really useful boxes for other storage uses, so these seemed ideal to me. Luckily for me my wife was wanting birthday ideas, but she was a little confused why I'd want some really useful storage boxes!
I got a 20 litre yellow and 33 litre green box versions to see what they could hold. They can hold quite a bit and come with more than enough foam to pack gaps. I've already filled both to show what they can hold.
20l yellow box. F8r scale the biggest wagon is the Hattons warwell in the bottom right.
33l Green box. For scale there are 3 VEAs along the top row and a GUV along the bottom.
Certainly makes it easier to access and put stock away.
I bought some of the stock boxes too and agree they are really great for ease of access to rolling stock...👌

Well done and thank you to Andy and the RMWeb team.

In early January, it was heard that we sadly lost Keith Armes.
He was known throughout the 2mmFS community for his exquisite track and point work service that he offered as well as in 2mm and N gauge. He also produced some fine layouts including ‘Chipping Norton’ and was currently working on a model of Culmstock on the Heymock branch.
I only met Keith once at a 2mmFS open day at Tutbury in June 2019 and he was a smashing bloke, very easy to talk to and offering advice. I have posted a pic below of his wonderful turnouts and also a photo of his work in progress layout.
I understand that Keith’s funeral is tomorrow so I just wanted to say a few words and offer my condolences to all his family.
RIP Keith - you will be much missed…

Thanks for the heads up Dave - I had it in my calendar from flyer from another show.
Does anyone know, aside from Freshwater, are any of the layouts featured on RMWeb?
