  1. I should just clarify my earlier post in that I don't have any inclines - just a flat layout that apparently isn't as flat as a snooker table. All other locos and tolling stock run perfectly fine in all directions.
  2. Well, I've had mine back too, and the bogie issue is all sorted - C-shaped spacers have been added to the bogie shaft. However, with no vertical movement between the couplings, and with the small gradient changes on my track, I still have derailment issues. I could run the power car and various combinations of 1, 2 and 3 carriages/dummy car without problems, but never managed a complete circuit of the track with 4 or 5 carriages. And never with the power car at the rear pushing forward in any combination. It was also pretty horrible crossing points. I tried loosening the couplings with a small turn of the retaining screw, but that didn't sort it either. Sadly, I've decided to return to Hornby for a refund.
  3. So, Hornby have had my set 2 weeks and so far no update except when I chased them last week when they said they'd update me towards the end of this week. It's Thursday afternoon already and nothing so far.
  4. Hornby got back to me after my initial phone call to their Service Department requesting me to send my set back to them to investigate/fix the problem. So they are definitely doing something, even if public communication from them isn't great. Like many others, although I tinker with my running stock, the last thing I want to be doing is trying all manner of things to fix an issue on a brand new £400 model. I'm not expecting to loosen this, change that, file here, scrape there, etc on something that should be right first time.
  5. Morning all First post for me on this forum but been lurking for a while. My Class 800 also has this same issue. On all the coaches, the bogies are catching the bodywork - specifically the white detailing features on the lower side of the bodies. Spoke with Hornby and they are looking into it. Let's hope they sort it as the model is great, with superb detailing. Jonesey
