  1. There's an excellent book by Becky Pinniger. Probably out of print now, but still available second hand. https://www.abebooks.co.uk/servlet/BookDetailsPL?bi=22488048285&searchurl=sortby%3D20%26an%3Dbecky%2Bpinniger&cm_sp=snippet-_-srp1-_-title10 What works very much depends on your garden's exposure etc. Good luck Phil
  2. Hiya OB, Long time no visit, but good to see pages and pages of remodelling since I was last here - we've been making the most of the weather too, but mostly by getting out and about. Despite that, I've managed a few days work on my line, but your work rate continues to be prodigious! Whilst it doesn't begin to compare to yours, maybe it's time I started a thread on my line - I was really pleased to see someone had mentioned your thread here on the Garden Railway Forum, with a strong recommendation to check it out. Seconded and Thirded! ATB mucker!
  3. There is something very appealing about 7/8ths. If I didn't have so much invested in a nowhere near complete 16mm scale line, I think I could be tempted to the dark side!
  4. A lot of work and effort put into a great railway. How on earth has he produced so much scale sized slate ballast? That must have taken an age. If not, please share the technique!
  5. Gawd Almighty. A whole page of posts, and only one of them about the McMCCLR. Can we get back to the superb modelling?
  6. Hi 'Bob', Finally getting around to walling my causeway, and just re-read your method of producing the master and moulds. Today I'm starting on the master for mine. you've been a bit quiet on here of late, I hope you're well. Phil
  7. Now then 'Bob', Good to see you still producing masterpieces
