The Dean Forest Railway have announced two visiting locomotives for their Gala event in June, The Royal Forest of Steam. The line-up consists of: Ex-GWR Small Prairie no. 5541 (fresh from a winter repaint) LMR Austerity no. 152 'Rennes' BR Ivatt 2MT Tank no. 41312 (courtesy of the Watercress Line) IW&D no. 34 'Portbury' (courtesy of the Bristol Harbour Railway) Both visitors have never visited the line before, and should provide two very different styles. There will be an intensive timetable in operation, including freight services available to passengers, as well as a model railway exhibition courtesy of the Forest of Dean Model Railway Club.
