  1. Hi, This is me actually! Our house was being remodelled for about 18 months (off and on with covid!) so the layout was covered up and stored in the basement. I must dig it out again and continue with it. Some inspiration: I just picked up a markin piggyback wagon off the local online auction site. Cheers Darryl
  2. The steel ones can be quite open too, and easy enough to fabricate:
  3. Cheers. Oooo, The artist formerly known as Warren Lane. Saw that at Eurosproor in Utrecht a few years back. An exceptional layout!
  4. I was on the Lötschberg a few weeks ago and there was quite a bit of freight on the old route in addition to the railcars, but I found it to be sporadic and mainly (maybe 95%) northbound. A good rush in the late afternoon from about three until sunset. You also have the car shuttles between Kandersteg and Goppenstein powered by brownies (which still see quite a lot of service on both the old and new lines for now. A few pics near the bottom of this https://www.flickr.com/photos/kiwibonds/albums/72157657564461864/page2 (and more from the Gotthard on the previous page)
  5. Hi there, I am also interested in Swiss Z after visiting the Gotthard three times before the new tunnel opened and becoming foolishly convinced - while staring at the town - that I could build a model of Wassen on the size of a door. My trials and tribulations of building a Swiss modern image layout out of foamboard and kitbashing/painting/building in a scale and prototype I've not tried before are loosely detailed here : https://zwassen.blogspot.com (https://zwassen.blogspot.com) Including, among other things, repainting my passenger train into the current scheme And repainting a pair of locos as BLS: Cheers, Darryl
