  1. Progressed with the hill sections of the diorama today by looking at other posts gave me the idea of glueing cut to shape layer of cardboard together which seems to have worked really well.
  2. Thank you guys for the welcome really happy to be part of the forum.
  3. Wow this is a very nicely modelled scene great weathering and building work, very inspirational.
  4. Evening Thunderforge thanks for the reply most encouraging yes baseboard screwed and glued.

  6. Well this is my first time dabbling into railway modelling i was going to put this entry into the cakebox challenge but I'm going to enter this into the diorama section even though the size is 8"x8". I'm going to model this in oo gauge consisting of 1 length of straight track, 1 buffer stop a small goods area with a crane kit and the usual vegetation, grass and ballast. The baseboard is built ready to start planning some hill work and where to lay the track. Mark
  7. Hroth thanks for the reply i will crack on with my entry. I already have the base built from laminate flooring and some spare offcuts i had lying around in the shed. Mark
  8. Andy with me being a new member to the forum i was looking forward to having a go at the CBC but I did think it would be an ongoing part of the forum. Will you be planning another challenge for forum members. Mark
  9. Hello my name is Mark and i live in the Market town of Bishop Auckland.
