  1. Hi all, As I'm sure most of us are aware, in 2021 Munich based TOC RailAdventure entered a partnership with UK TOC Hanson & Hall. I have since also seen the info that RailAdventure in fact purchased Hanson & Hall, renaming it to RailAdventure UK Ltd. However, I had reached out to Hanson & Hall and RailAdventure some time ago regarding their HST power cars and just had a reply from Hanson & Hall that they don't have anything to do with RailAdventure anymore. According to Companies House, Hanson & Hall are still active as a company, not renamed or sold. Between 2021 and 2023 a RailAdventure director also joined Hanson & Hall as a director. This director is now with RAILADVENTURE UK LIMITED incorporated in 2020. To me, it seems like Hanson & Hall and RailAdventure have seized all partnership and that there was no sale of Hanson & Hall. Does anyone have more details as to what is going on here?
  2. Hi everyone, Does anyone know where I could get 8mm wheel sets for 16.5mm track? I need them for a H0 tram model. No drive needed and can be plastic, but should be able to roll (not just static display). I have found some with European sellers, but the shipping costs are a bit too high for some basic wheels.
  3. Hi everyone, I am looking for dimensions or, ideally, a diagram for the Type 27 Wickham Trolley. My searches so far have not yielded satisfactory results. Does anyone have a source for that info?
  4. No, I am not too fussed about specific dates or location, but if it helps I guess we can pick any time from the start of the TOPS numbers in the Kent region, along where the HS1 is today.
  5. Hi Neil, the specfic coaches I have are 2x Lima 9151 - Mark One CK - GWR Chocolate and Cream 1x Lima 9326 - Mark One BSK - GWR Chocolate and Cream All three coaches are H0 scale (not 00) and obviously incorrectly painted as GWR. Images can be found here: http://www.limabritishho.co.uk/LBHO-Coaches.htm
  6. Hi all, I recently aquired some Mk1 coaches that I would like to repaint into BR Rail Blue and Grey livery. With that, they of course need numbers. Which numbers would be correct for CK & BSK in TOPS for BR era 7?
  7. I used to see Boley in the range of one of my model shops but not anymore. The models now seem to be sold as Walther Scenemaster.
  8. Hello, I am looking to stock up on my collection of (modern) US fire engines but I am struggling to find a larger range. I know of the following models: Walthers Scenemaster Trident Miniatures River Point Station Athearn and Busch make vintage fire engines only as far as I know although there are some modern(ish) ambulances from Busch Does anybody know of any other modern US fire engine models in H0?
  9. Hi Mick, That is an amazing resource, thank you!
  10. I do apologize for the late reply, thank you guys for your replies!
  11. Hello, I have here three old Bachmann GE U36Bs (41-640-02). Two are dummies and one is a non runner. All three are marked as ATSF 350. While the model itself looks very nice, it is inaccurate, as ATSF 350 actually was a GE U28CG. Comparing images of the two engine types, it seems like the U28C is "just" a longer version of a U36B with C bogies. The cab of the U36B seems to match the cab of the U28C very closely. So I was wondering if it would work if I cut up two of my U36Bs and combined them to form a longer version of themselves, the U28C. Of course there are other details that need to be changed but the cab seems to be the main part. If that doesn't match, it would be more difficult to adjust that. Does anyone have any more info about how U36Bs and U28Cs compare?
  12. Hello again, first of all, I'd like to apologize for being quiet for so long, life has been quite busy. Would you guys be interested if I showed by rolling stock here? I would show a few locomotives every week or so.
  13. I've gone through my spreadsheet and realized that I only have two Alco models! That needs to change. For now, my Alco models are: Big Boy Union Pacific 4024 (Rivarossi HR2005) RS-3 Canadian Pacific 8438 (Bachmann 63902) Both are H0 scale.
  14. Thanks all! I will definitely make a new thread for my layout, in the meantime, see here for the German thread: https://stummiforum.de/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=158749
  15. I'll try that when I get home. I just wasn't sure if that would work if the speaker is faulty.
  16. Hi, I have the 63902 Alco RS-3 CP #8438. The sound itself is excellent, however the speaker has started to rattle and sound cheaply which is why I want to replace the speaker with a new/better one. I cannot find any info though, about what speaker I need. I don't want to get one with the wrong resistance and destroy the decoder. Does anybody know what speaker is installed?
  17. Hello, I apologize for digging up this old fossil, but I'd rather not create a whole new thread. My question is, has anybody examined the decoder yet? I am wondering if it supports additional functions (AUX 1, ...2, etc). It would be cool to make the amber rotating light operational and maybe a worklight or so. As far as I know, it is this decoder: http://estore.bachmanntrains.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=10386 but I could not find any additional soldering pads or anything like that. Maybe someone has an idea?
  18. Hello everybody, yet another newbie, this time based in West Northamptonshire. My name is Max, I am 26 years old and originally from Germany but now living in England. I model mainly in H0/00, though I have some (few) Z-Gauge and IIm-Gauge as well. Most of my trains are German outline, though since I have moved here, more and more British rolling stock can be found in the depots. Another region I like to collect models from is the Americas, mainly North America. I have a few US- and Canadian engines, including a UP Big Boy. Other countries collected include France, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria and Italy. At the moment, I am modelling a small German themed H0 layout, portraying a small fictional branch line in Upper Bavaria. Most of my H0 stock runs on Märklin three-rail-tracks, controlled with mfx and DCC. Anything running on DC tracks is either old analogue stock or controlled with either mfx or DCC as well.
