  1. Further to this, I wonder whether we need to be worried about the progress of this project?
  2. Incidentally, Dave is intending to offer GBRf 92032 for £130+ even though Hornby have already marketed it and I see it's available on eBay for £80.
  3. On the other hand, if I am still here in a year's time waiting for the DJM Class 92's, while everyone else is enjoying running their Hornby ones, I may feel differently.
  4. The point of getting a DJM version of 92043 would be the significantly superior mechanism, lights, detailing etc. - e.g. all wheels on both bogies driven, prototypical lighting options, etched grilles etc. And seemingly for not all that much more money. I have no objection to Hornby offering their model, but it seems overpriced for the features it has, and I'm a bit reluctant to reward Hornby for not retooling their model and bringing it up to modern standards. They could then market a bargain Railroad version and a fully-featured version. Also, I just fancy seeing two top-notch matching GBRf 92's side-by-side on a layout.
  5. A DJM version would probably not be a popular move with Hornby, however...
  6. I notice that Hornby are bringing out a Class 92 model of 92043 in GBRf livery. (It was formerly named ‘Debussy’.) It has an RRP of £119.00 and Hattons have it advertised at £107, so it looks overpriced by Hornby compared with the DJM model which will be of significantly higher quality. https://www.hattons.co.uk/430641/Hornby_R3741_Class_92_92043_Debussy_in_GBRf_europorte_livery/StockDetail.aspx#15474021718262&_command=reamaze%3Aresize&_height=350&_name=_embed_0&_url= 92043 in this livery would make a superb, attractive pair with the DJM model of 92032, also in GBRf Europorte livery. Might be time for anyone else who feels the same to contact Dave and suggest adding this to the list of Class 92 versions he is offering. Or possibly Hattons, who are already offering several versions of the DJM Class 92, might consider it.
  7. Given that Hattons would seem to be commissioning OO Class 92's from Dave you would think the financing for the project is secure. For example: https://www.hattons.co.uk/282539/DJ_Models_Dave_Jones_DJMOOC92_011_Class_92_92043_Debussy_in_Two_Tone_grey_with_Europorte_branding/StockDetail.aspx#15394390743812&_command=reamaze%3Aresize&_height=280&_name=_embed_0&_url= Priced at £144.46, and with various other alternatives, quite a fleet of different 92's will be possible.
