  1. Dave the build of your X class peckett kits is looking very good.
  2. Yes I caved in to temptation and purchased the BR Black with early emblem, no issues with running.
  3. I agree you have captured some lovely pictures. Can I ask what the pinkish shrubs are in one of the pictures.
  4. Your layout is progressing nicely, looking forward to seeing more of your layout.
  5. Very nice Karl, the locos look great in the daylight. You can’t beat a natural back scene.
  6. The scale scenes building do look really good. I still need to try purchase and try out one of the kits. I think once the weathering is complete on the concrete it will help to blend in any inconsistencies. This is a a great little layout.
  7. This is a stunning military layout, everything flows nicely together. I like the low relief factory building which fills the back scene nicely and the tarp covering the wagon.
  8. Hi your yard layout is coming along nicely. I like how you have captured the untamed long grass on the embankments. The yard lights go with the yard theme nicely.
  9. Afternoon all. Today I have managed to glue the brick plastic sheets to the back and both sides of the yard. The small grassy section has had some brick sheets applied as well as the raised platform for the yard crane. The two joins at the back will be hidden with drain piping and weathering will be applied to all the brickwork once painted.
  10. This looking really good, I like the progress on your engine shed build. The skytrex water cranes are very nice. Like you I don’t have loads of money so paydays are handy to purchase items. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your railway modelling.
  11. Hi I thought a would post a quick update. As you can see the entrance building to the workshop has been finished and once it’s in place I can do some more weathering. Hopefully the brick sheets will arrive this week along with 4mm scale laser cut workshop windows. In the front left corner will be a small embankment area which will have a brick wall around it. This will be planted with static grass and shrubs and there will be a small section where some soil and debris has cone over the brick wall. In the centre of the y point I have glued a piece of wood. This is where a raised platform will be to house a wills yard crane. I have added a picture of the layout to date:
  12. Thank you for the nice comments, the model has turned out great even though it’s been made into a low relief building. This is the entrance to a workshop which will run the length of the back scene.
  13. Starting to look more like a building now with the sills added and the window openings cut out. Once the windows are fitted the building will transform even further.
  14. Today I have been contracting adding the brick paper to the workshop entrance. Im pleased with the result just some weathering to complete on the entrance.
  15. Hi everyone thanks for pressing the likes button. Some work has commenced on the yard office building, I have used a scalemodelscenery laser cut kit and also a laser cut kit for the coal staithe. Tomorrow the brickwork will be added to the office and hopefully start building the roof section.
  16. Keith thank you for your kind comments, this is a working layout I plan to build and finished without loosing any interest along the way.
