I meant to say I do hope they alter the tooling and get rid of the toilet window because for £250 the northern and Gwr units would look silly if they left the toilet window in place, they could probably add slides to the tooling and put the cab front door window in on the class 150/2 and do the original livery, and I think a rerun of the purple and blue northern livery would sell well.

Did you try messaging Jim smith wright from p4newst.com. He did the etched window frames more than 10 years ago suitable for the class 210 or class 317,457 etc, I seem to recall that someone asked if the etches could still be obtained on the Demu forum a few years ago and he mentioned he could order them.

surely it wouldn’t have cost much to do the light properly rather than printed on, after all you had the cab door window added.
-
Hi Jim, if you send me an e-mail to Andrew.marsland@live.co.uk stating the parts that you need I can work out a generous discount on the prices.

Thanks Kelly .

i have not been active on Ebay for a few weeks as I’m looking to put my class 507-315 parts and other parts onto a web site, I am thinking of abandoning Ebay as the fees are ridiculous, if anyone needs any parts my e-mail address is Andrew.marsland@live.co.uk
Delivery time can be around a week from ordering as I do all the resin casting myself.
The kit used to come as 3 pieces per body side as was on this model Danny built but it now comes as one piece bodysides, I am also thinking of doing fully built bodyshells, and possibly painted ones,
The only thing I need to do is get the underframe components designed and then everything for the kit is done, the floors and bogie side frames have been available for the last month or so.

I think the reason they have lost 12 million pounds over 2 years is the fact that many people including myself are not buying brand new models as they are at ridiculous unaffordable prices, they tried blaming rising wages in China, I could buy a brand new Bachmann class 150 for about £67.00 when they first came out, they are now around £250.00, same mould but slightly altered smaller motor enclosure.

Does anyone know if the new northern or gwr class 150/2 new livery models will have the toilet window removed on the models ?, at the new prices I hope they are not silly enough not to alter the tooling to get rid of the toilet window.
-
That sounds very promising! I think I can say now (whilst expectantly waiting to see), that the Bachmann photo was rather uninspiring. Seeing that the Class 117 (something I have no interest in) looked specular in person, I have no doubt that the Class 158 shall be to the same impression. Looking forward to some decent photos If I have been lead to believe right, we might be in for a surprise or two at 16.00.
No news yet?.

Does the service .sheet for the intercity swallow version mention if the Brecknell Willis pantograph is available as a spare part?.
-
A very quick experiment using the class 507-315 emu window frames that I sell on Ebay.
The depth of the frames is about right for the DC kits class 303.

Looking at the pic's with the spray guns I have always wondered what type of paint they use to spray model trains in?, it must spray on as thin as ink.
-
I would be interested in getting some etched window frames done for the class 303, both the original type and the later hopper style, I do think the windows are too deep on the model though, so I would need to get someone who could measure the size of the real windows.

If Hornby could sell the Brecknell Willis pantograph as a spare it would be great to use on the Bratchell kits and to upgrade the older Hornby models.
-
Does it mention in the spare parts leaflet if the pantograph will be available as a spare part?.
-
I wonder if there might be a chance of one being done with a view to supporting the RAF Benevolent Fund?
The layout of the windows would need altering to do this livery, when they did the disabled large toilet it lost a large window and the small window was moved.

Does anybody know what chemicals can remove dried cured polyurethane casting resin from clothing?.
-
Seeming as the n gauge apt-p has come down in price significantly , has the oo gauge one come down in price too?.
-

If this is such a mess cant Durham trains of Winstanley use another company such as Rapido, Realtrak, Bachmann ect ?, instead of DJ models, personally I think the price has jumped up far too much recently.

Havent heard of that...will have a look. Will try to get the varnish off only but fully expecting to have to knock it back to basic plastic and then paint it.
Be careful of that Biostrip, it can ruin plastic models, it wrecked my Bachmann class 150 dmu bodies despite claiming its safe to use on plastic.
Best way is to buy ipa alcohol on Ebay and add 10 % tap water to the ipa that activates the stripping, you will end up with a clean plastic body.

Class 313,314,315 pantograph coach modified rear end is now available on Ebay, panto coach roof will be available in the next fortnight.
Only one of these is needed per class 313,314,315.
I have had a big delay in getting the latest parts designed as I have changed my 3d designer.
The next parts I am having done are the floors bogies and underframe components.
6REP, 5WES, 319/1 & 313/0 conversions and builds in NSE

I am doing discounted prices cheaper than Ebay for the class 507-315 emu parts.
Prices are as follows.
Cab fronts and inner ends £10.00 each specify when ordering which type eg pantograph coach end.
Any type of body side each version is correct to each type of unit £12 each or a pair for £22.00
Floors £10 each
Window frame etches £25 per 3 car unit or £35 per 4 car unit. Each type is specific per unit type
Bogie sets £6.00 for 4 sideframes enough for one coach.
These prices are a good saving compared to buying on Ebay.
To order I take payment at Andrew.marsland@live.co.uk that is my paypal address and e-mail address.
I just need to get the underframe parts 3d designed and the various types of seating done eg original type low back seats and newer type high back seats.
I am also looking for someone who can finish the 3d design ( my current designer takes too long) and someone who can draw the units and who can do instructions on where the parts go and how to assemble each unit.
