  1. Many thanks on both counts. One further question....... The rear store has corrugated sides. Would the store have been supplied with these as new from Exmouth, or would they have been retro fitted?
  2. Hi Joseph, I am indeed a ( recent ) member to Wimborne MRS. In fact a very recent convert to the hobby - 6 months and counting. Here's my rendition of the water tank. I don't think it is 100% accurate as information again was scant, but I'm happy with it as it was only my second attempt at scratchbuilding. Thanks for this info, Olddudders, It's a book on my purchase list, however imminent redundancy has put a temporary stop to "luxuries". I have a contact who has a copy. Could you let me know the relevant page please.
  3. Hi All, First posting here, so please be gentle! I am in the early stages of modelling Wimborne station, on the "Old Road", in N gauge. I have completed several of the smaller buildings in the goods area, and am planning on tackling the provender stores next. Sadly , information on these is pretty thin on the ground. My question concerns the 2 stores towards the goods yard throat. They appear from the station map to be joined. The concrete store has double end loading doors, but no side doors. This would mean that the "joining section" was used to link the 2 stores, with doors to access both buildings. Would this be a safe assumption? Has anyone any experience/knowledge of this being done on this/ or other sites, rather than just butting the 2 stores up against each other? If so, is the "joining section" likely to be concrete / timber/ open/ covered? Many thanks for any help!
