Can't wait for the GWR one, fingers crossed for a FGW 'local lines' one to appear somewhere in the next few batches, maybe even some 158/9s in the GWR/FGW liveries

Looking good so far Any samples in GWR livery?

Looking forward to the GWR 158 early next year , shame there isn't a date for the GWR 150 yet though

I'm guessing HAA coal hopper, although preferably CDA China clay hoppers for me, although they would only require slight tooling mods to the existing HAA toolings (that is of course if they are HAA hoppers!)

When the website updated yesterday I noticed some of the items changed from 'TBA' to 'on order', anyone know what the difference is?

End of Q2/Beginning of Q3 2019Excuse my ignorance but I've never understood the Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 timings.
Are they basically the year split into quarters?
E.g. Q1 would be Jan/Feb/Mar
Q2 would be April/ May/ June
Etc.

Its been almost 2 years since the last comment on this thread and am suprised that we still havent seen a model of 002 & 185, these manufacturers are missing an opportunity here.
I'd defo get one

We could do with another batch of CDAs from Hornby... I've noticed the DB Schenker ones haven't been done yet!

My guess for a mid year announcement is..
Steam: top secret surprise reworked Toby from Thomas to Railroad J70
Diesels: class 25, 91, 92 all in railroad
Electrics : class 86 also in railroad
coaches: mk5 sleepers
More trees, bushes, hedges
Im thinking if they did do mid year announcements there would also be a TPE class 802... Personally im hoping for a GWR class 802 myself

Anyone know if Hornby are doing mid-year announcements this year?

Though 802s are designed for the south west the 800's are no stranger to the area as well but it's up to you.
For the first few months of IET introduction in the South West we had regular 5 car 800s but since more 802s have been introduced we dont get 800s any more (apart from the occasional 800/3 due to the lack of 802/1s)

One thing that annoys me a bit is the fact that i've been waiting for the GWR class 150 since 2017... But yet what is probably the millionth BR blue 37 to be done by Bachmann gets announced in 2019 and is expected to be released 6 months down the line
-
Would love a rake of these but i've got my fingers crossed for some VTG blue ones so I can model the Burngullow sand, with my layout being set in Cornwall none of the other liveries run down here.
Although some KEA wagons would be just as good
-
What do we think the likelihood is of Hornby doing a Class 802 in GWR livery?
Just curious as I model Cornwall and currently have 800003 on pre-order. I would be tempted to cancel my pre-order of 800003 if Hornby were to announce a GWR class 802 as it is more prototypical to my region.

Cant wait for these models to come out. Modelling modern image Cornwall hoping to get the DB Schenker one so I can model the Burngullow Sand trains that occasionally ran with 59s around 2011-2013.
Hoping Dapol do an Aggregate Industries one in their second batch as they were also used on the Burngullow Sand too (plus its my favourite livery on the 59)

See this post and a couple below for the XC sets
Thanks, im also hoping to get a XC set aswell so this helps alot
-
I'd assumed that there would be two different sets, one for each release date... This would be logical, but needs checking once the running numbers are confirmed...
Thanks for the reply, I guess we will just need to wait and see the running numbers.. Would be nice to have two different sets though
-
The GWR 158 still says July next year which is promising.
Sadly its been moved to Q4 2019.. Which isnt too bad tbh as That gives us more time to save
-
One thing I have noticed is that Hornby are doing enough MK3s for 2 rakes per livery... Will each coach have seperate numbers so we can accuratley model 2 different sets or will 2 of the coaches in the range have the same number but with different release dates (which I have noticed on the website)?
-
Was the ETA for the GWR 150/2 mentioned? Thanks in advance.
I would also like to know this, really looking forward to it.
-
Sorry, could you explain. What tooling variation is needed to make a 158/9 3-car unit, apart from a cocktail stick, some decal fix and a new number?
You would need another 'half' of a unit to put on the end.. Thats the best I can explain it, sorry
-
With the 2019 announcements tomorrow are we hoping for any more 158 liveries to be added to the list?
Would love to see any of these liveries announced:
First Great Western 'local lines'
South West Trains
South Western Railway
Or maybe even some different variations in 158 tooling, for example the GWR/FGW 158/9s
