Sorry to see them go and thanks for all the good service over the years (assuming someone from hattons is reading this thread).
Hopefully this is an isolated case.

Maybe he meant £200mn… Hornbys turnover is £55mn, ignoring everyone else and the retail end ?
Thanks, not sure it was the voice over guy at the start of each episode so it seemed to indicate the sales as a whole not just Hornby. Perhaps I have misremembered it (too much liquid stuff over Christmas).

Didn’t the recent Pete Waterman TV show suggest at the start the hobby was worth £20 million per year although no suggestion how that figure was reached or what it comprises I assumed just sales.
Going back to the tiers and Hornby I am really looking forward to the new years announcements as it could give an indication of how things are going to be moving forward. The abolishment of the tiers is a good step along with the repair of the relationship with rails of Sheffield.

Merry Christmas to all, thanks to everyone for your help, support, photos and opinions over the last year which unbeknown to the poster have helped me on my model railway journey.
cheers

I spoke to Jennie today to pay for my 25324.
She confirmed the lower preorder prices are being honoured.
The first batch hasnt arrived yet of 25324 and one of the first early green ones. Still awaiting release from customs I think.
Might be nearer Christmas before they go out by the time they have recieved, QC'd and packaged etc.
Did Jennie contact you first to pay?

Despite being a D&E modeller I am quite taken with the thought of one of these especially the sound project, quite fancy a little tank chufffing around the layout.

Hate to break it to you, but Francis' stuff was filmed in April...

Don’t worry made of stern stuff! Thanks ,I think the bits about making tracks 2 lulled me into a sense it was all filmed a year or so ago
cheers

Blimey, given how recently this was filmed is he likely to have finished anything?
Based upon my own performance he’ll most likely still be enjoying the “research stage”(!!)
I think it was filmed in 2022 as Pete was building making tracks 2 not 3 so I would have hoped there would be something to see.

I wonder if a revamped 08 is on the cards?

I don’t have one of these or do I intend to buy one but pleased to hear all the positive reports of this model and hope it bodes well for future models from Hornby.

There is a little ON on the switch surround. The "high" bit of the switch should to that side.
thanks thats what i thought and have done

I have fitted an esu decoder in my 37 and now the dashboard lights won't come on, I have set the switches as per the guide, does anyone have a picture of how the switches should be set ie in the model not the instruction sheet. It states 1 and 3 should be on but which way round should the switch be for on?
thanks

Great exhibition and value for money only £5
one layout seemed to have an issue with operators seemingly arguing over what to run next for some reason otherwise great show.

Hornby 2024 range announcements
in Hornby
Posted
Watched the announcement video (wished I hadn't) -are the mk 3's the former oxford ones, I don't recall the Hornby models having that detail at the ends and the coupling is different (I think)?
