Hi Gary I had expected than the cab light would function on DC using the Hornby supplied blanking plug. I have subsequently tried a Bachmann and Zimo decoder, no luck.

I have just purchased one of these which I am running on my DC test layout prior to fitting a decoder. Upon removing the body I noticed that there are two LEDs in the cab, however they do not illuminate on DC power regardless of the position of the switch for day/ night running. At this point the Hornby blanking plug had not been touched. Installing a DCC Concepts decoder the cab lights still do not illuminate. Has anyone else notices the cab lights working? Hope I don’t have a faulty model. Tim
