First posting for me on this forum so if I've posted it in the wrong category I apologise. When lockdown started it provided me with the opportunity to make a start on a 5" gauge Class 20 for which I had bought the drawings, castings and fibreglass body shell some 15 years ago! Having made slower than I would have liked progress I've now reached the point where wiring up the controller etc is next on the list. In parallel to that I also want to paint the fibreglass body in as delivered BR Green. I have rubbed this down with 600 grade wet and dry as a key for the paint. I found the list of Halfords rattle can colours and have got a tin of Rover Brooklands Green which I will be spraying over the Halfords Plastic Primer/Filler. However, I can't seem to find any information on a suitable rattle can grey for the roof. I've seen a 5" gauge Class 20 where the roof colour seems to be too light compared with the darker grey on the two OO Bachmann Class 20's I have. Can anyone give me advice on what colour to buy?
