  1. I agree, but what about the location, it looks like the line West of Hunts Cross station but looking back East towards Widnes?
  2. Some nice internal carriage fittings from Beresford, and an even nicer old LMS Merseyrail unit on the advert for rectifiers. Interesting that in the early 60's Hewittic Rectifiers already had over 60 years of experience - they must have been real pioneers!
  3. 1:1 scale transfers and suspension from our advertisers tonight!
  4. This evening we have fascinating adverts relating to Insulated fish plates ('Lignatum' sounds Latin to me) and an important announcement from a chilled cast iron wheel manufacturer :) - or should that be a manufacturer of chilled cast iron wheels!?
  5. Two adverts for you this evening - Something to get your hands dirty ( The Armstrong Oiler), then something to clean them with ('Saroul' - to BR specifications no less!)
  6. Good evening all - another advert for you, carriage washers ideal for filthy MK1's or even the odd Double Decker Bus! What's that in the second picture down? Is the picture distorted it looks a little 'squat' perhaps it's a little something from the Irish loading gauge?
  7. Good evening everyone, here we have a rather basic advert to say the least! Does what it says on the tin - as it were :)
  8. Cheers Mol - top info! I had no idea that the trials shown had ever taken place with the steam crane. I think I commented on one of the other threads where someone had posted a picture of the larger floating cranes used elsewhere that you mention - or was it on this thread? Perhaps I should scroll back a bit and check!
  9. I'm not even going to comment on 'ring discharge grabbing!!!!'
  10. I haven't posted anything for a while, so here is a nice old advert for cranes (the lifting type, not the birds!)
  11. Ahh, yes - I see the similarities. I wonder why the Americans would not just use what was available in the countries that they were looking to use the railways of?
  12. Sorry this ad for Alco has gone on the slant! They seem to have done some 'limited clearance' models, though they still look pretty big!!!.
  13. A rival for SKF bearings this evening. There's something about that European carriage that makes me think it would be a very smooth runner (not sure what!). That's what you'd want on a sleeper though isn't it?
  14. Good morning all - perhaps some inspiration for those replicating the lesser modelled aspects of carriage interiors!
