  1. Apologies for the tardy response - been away. I've not run the GE wagon in earnest yet, and I'm sure the NEM box was in place when I put it away. I'll fit a 3-ink coupling that end and use it as a "converter" wagon for now.
  2. I've done it again, with my GER van - found the broken coupling lying in the bottom of the box. Does anyone else have this problem with the OR couplings or am I too heavy-handed?

  4. Thanks for the ideas and info. I tried other fixings but none put the NEM pocket at the right level. I ended up fabricating a replacement from plastic card and glued the pocket to it. It may not survive with 40 wagons behind it but should manage the ten I've got room for.
  5. It's the fixing for the box that's broken. One end has the box and the other a small piece of triangular plastic that slots into a similar shaped recess, joined by a thin flexible cranked strip. Thanks for the suggestions - I need to look and check the lengths.
  6. I've broken one of the couplings (the thin shaft bit) on an OR GWR brake van and cannot get a replacement from OR or Peters Spares. I can't find a suitable replacement for it - can anybody help with ideas?
