  1. Hi folks, Am modelling the far north line in the period 1955 > 1962 and am looking for information regarding the types of wagons used for ballasting and engineer workings (any crane vehicles used too?) on the far north and Kyle lines in the late steam early diesel period. Am unable to find anything much at all other than 1980s era pics with class 37 and 26 hauled stuff. If anyone has input on this subject it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  2. Spotted this thread regarding Plux22 decoder blanks. I have a Bachmann class 121 DMU which is currently fitted with Lenz decoder. I went to refit the original decoder blank to the unit to run DC only to discover that I have lost said blanking plate. Does anyone know were to purchase these as I have searched high and low on the internet and nobody seems to sell Plux22 decoder blanks? Or am I missing something here. Thanks.
  3. Some of these photos are what I have been working from 👍 Also I remember reading on another thread here a list of FNL workings. One in particular mentioned a Inverness yard to Lairg from Bowling hauled by a class 37 but without the loco No. I assumed this would have been an oil train. I will have to find this again. Am also interested in the grain workings from Muir of Ord. I believe they were mainly class 40 hauled but was there in variety with the traction on that? Cheers
  4. Hi folks, new here. Perhaps this is something covered else where. But I am looking for definitive info on and or better still a photo or two of Diesel traction on the Bowling to Invergordon and onto Lairg oil train workings. In particular during the late 60s and early 70s. As I understand it, this was mainly hauled by class 20s but with the occasional 37 popping up. Any info/help will be greatly appreciated. cheers.
