Thanks for the advice guys, I think I will go with the lima body option and re spray the original Hornby chassis the correct BR maroon colour.

Yeah I have had a look at the Lima body but the mainline is the most detailed out of the three

Morning I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to fit a mainline class 42 body on a newer Hornby chassis. I have just bought a Hornby class 42 and it is lacking in the detail and the colour. So was thinking of buying a mainline body and re painting the chassis. As I said I was wondering if anyone also had ever done this before cheers steve

Hi Guys i am after a set of Hornby 14xx wheels they don’t have to be new but in reasonable condition. If any one has a set and would willing to sell them let me know. thanks in advance Steve
