  1. Martin The only picture I can find 41908 in its early days. Daryl
  2. Martin I got this picture off the internet three or four years ago have not a clue where. Shows the later version with the bigger wheels, why it has 17 spoke wheels. Daryl
  3. Martin A Highlevel MicroMiser (horizontal) might work. Class 1833 had 16 spoke drivers. Dubs had 9 spoke bogies, and Neilson 10 spoke. Class 2228 had 16 spoke drivers and 10 spoke, built by Dubs and Derby. Later after service bogie wheels could be mixed per engine. Reference from Midland Engines No.1. Daryl
  4. Martin Pictures shows two types I used, Highlevel Slimline (motor in boiler), and Slimline with a D3 extension ( motor in tank area). Hope it helps. Daryl
  5. Hello Tony This is my first post, I have been reading ww for years. I built my Cotswold 47xx about four years ago. I throw the solid block away and used Alan Gibson frames now about £14.50. A highlevel gearbox with a Mashima 1424 driving the rear axle. My chassis is compensated. Because of the four axles and long wheelbase the frame spacers need to be slightly narrower than normal to get side play on the centre axles, so it can go round curves. I also used Comet cross heads and the original white metal ones were thrown away. Daryl
