Gday from the land of lots of dangerous animals (Australia). I finally brought up enough courage to order a comet chassis kit and have a go since I had been wanting to do it for a number of years. The main chassis is basically done (pony and trailing truck wheels are out of stock at wizard models so I can’t finish that yet). It’s running a high level gearbox and coreless motor which isn’t fitted in the photo. Seems to be relatively smooth thus far but it hasn’t had much running. I’m planning to run it round a bit today to see if it gets better. One thing I did which I may have not done in hindsight was model it in gear. This was more a challenge to myself to see if I could do it but you can probably barely tel on the finished product so maybe no point. Let me know what you think (and remember it’s my first go at it).
