  1. Sam's trains has done a few videos about this. It's quite funny seeing it up close and how tacky it is.
  2. Just a little update Cut the sides, front, back, floor and roof off the sprues and cleaned most of them up. Also started with cutting out the glazing. (Sorry about the poor picture) Now for a question. I have these etched bits and I'm not sure what they are, I think the bits on the right are steps but am not sure about the bits on the left Thanks in advance
  3. Hi all Decided to show my build of a DC kits Class 101 and hopefully get some advice along the way. This is my first motorised kit but I have built a few wagon kits. I have decided that my first step will be cutting the seats off the sprue. This will take me a while so updates will be a bit sporadic
  4. Have you thought about leaving some of the cracks and weathering them up to make the wall look older?
  5. Your modeling skill never ceases to amaze
  6. I haven't seen much mention of New Zealand Railways in this topic. Many of NZR's early steam locomotives looked very british outline as built but were modified over the years. Many of the first NZR diesel locomotives were also built to british pratice but there are a few locomotives that were built to the same designs. These locomotives were the DSA which was series of 0-6-0 heavy shunting locomotives built by a variety of builders. NZR DSA Class built by Hunslet in 1957 similar to the Br Class 05 NZR DSA Class built by Bagnall in 1956 similar to the locomotives used by NCB NZR DSA Class built by Drewry/Vulcan in 1953 similar to the Br Class 03/04
  7. Looking good What did you use to weather the bridge?
  8. I have aquired a DC kits Class 101 without instructions. I have emailed DC kits and the instructions were lost some time ago. I am hoping someone on this forum has a copy of the intructions that they could PM me Regards
