  1. Thank you, I can see they do have them in stock however I would prefer to deal with a UK supplier if possible, but that doesn't appear to be an option from what I can see. Strikes me as an usual thing to simply not be in stock anywhere, who has been buying up all the circuit breakers?
  2. Thank you for the response, I've not really been using the setup since I started getting paranoid as I will feel much more comfortable with some kind of circuit protection. The problem I have is the only one I can find in stock is the DCC Concepts one which seems to cost a fair bit more than the NCE ones did. I'm sure its good quality but its just a bit out of my price range. Also I liked the 1.5A trip current some of the NCE ones offered whereas the DCC Concepts Intelligent Circuit Breaker appears to be 1.25a or 2a settings, but not a 1.5a. Maybe 1.25a is fine, I only use a few basic loops all on one power bus. I usually run 2 trains around and move things around in the sidings, I might well run a third loop at some point.
  3. Hello, So I recently got hold of a PowerCab and overall I am very happy with it. However I am a little concerned over its protection system and if I need anything additional to protect my trains and equipment. For context I plug my controller straight into my reletively small loop, I don't use power districts, and I used to use a Hornby Elite, which was quite reassuring when something derailed and created a short that it would go into an emergency shutdown mode. The reason alarm bells are ringing for me is the PowerCab does not do this, when I have a short it just makes a horrible squeeling noise, and everything stays on. Also for context its worth bearing in mind that I have a lot of anxiety around electrics, I've tried to keep it as simple as possible but also if theres something that might help but is probably not needed, I'm likely to side with caution just to be safe. With this in mind is there any kind of protection/Circuit Breaker I should add to my setup? I see on NCE's website both the NCE CP6 and the NCE EB1 (v1.1 can work with PowerCab from what I've seen) but neither of them seem to be available anywhere I've checked in the UK. I like the idea of a full on breaker, auto resetting is not the end of the world for me but just the reassurance that the current is off when somethings gone wrong. Any help would be appreciated, I'm a paranoid novice when it comes to electrics and I just want to play it safe.
