  1. I am using a ct elektronik controller. I had an identical controller previously but had problems with it, including the "no answer" so I have just bought an identical replacement on eBay which I am now using with exactly the same problem. As I said it quite happily programmes Hornby HST power cars , just not Hornby 47 tts locos.
  2. When I try to programme the decoder blind it just says no answer as well!??
  3. I have 2 x Hornby sound fitted class 47s and I am unable to reprogramme either of them. They run fine as address 3, but when I put them on the programming track I just get "no answer". I have had no issues programming Hornby HST power cars so was wondering if anyone could advise what might be wrong?? Thanks.
  4. This seems to suggest no such modification was ever carried out so I may need to get the old white spirit out and say bye to the black panels, shame as they look quite smart!!! Thanks for replies....
  5. The model is 47676 which I am relatively sure never did have the black headcode with swallow but would love to be corrected.
  6. I have acquired an intercity swallow class 47 , but with the addition of black painted headcode panels. To clarify this is the latest version of ic swallow livery. My question is did any 47 loco at any point ever carry swallow livery with black headcode panels??
  7. Does anyone with any experience of ct elektronik controller have any clue what could be causing the "no connection" message on the screen. All wires are connected up and checked numerous times. I have tried the factory resets suggested for both system and controller and neither actually work. Really trying to work out exactly what no connection means (when system IS connected up and with a new cable too as the old one was a little ropey). Any ideas??? Thanks
  8. Much appreciated for that have bought it, 50 odd quid with postage hopefully money well spent!! Thank you :-)
  9. Have tried a reset but with no luck :-( . Message just saying no connection now . Screen is readable as soon as I unplug it but fades out when plugged in. Am I likely to be able to pick up a second hand controller anywhere? Nothing on eBay, really frustrating as it's an expensive system and impossible to purchase new anyway. I have found other systems never gave enough voltage and trains wouldn't run sufficiently fast on my high speed layout.....
  10. Lights not working, and yes tried the nudge etc all to no avail.
  11. Hi, I have two Hornby HST power cars (the latest version) and neither will run. Both are factory decoder fitted. Yet class 47s with presumably the same Hornby factory decoder fitment runs fine with an address of 3 on dcc. The HSTs will also not run on dc mode either yet make a brief sound then go quiet in dc. I am using a ct elektronik system and it only seems to be the Hornby factory fitted decoder HSTs that are an issue as I also have a none decoder fitted hst which will run fine. Any suggestions where I am going wrong , as I am rather a novice due to all the changes in the 10 years I have been away from the hobby!! Any help appreciated!! Thanks
  12. I have now managed to totally screw it up, screen is faint but just about visible but I have created error messages with my meddling an ld also a message saying no connection . Does anyone know how to restore the controller to factory setting or similar to get me out of trouble?? Thanks
  13. It now seems to be a screen issue as writing has appeared very faintly so I'm guessing it will be difficult to replace??
  14. Hi, I am looking to renumber several 00 guage HST power cars and class 47 locos (swallow livery) can anyone recommend where I can buy transfers (ideally the full running numbers as opposed to individual digits) . I have attempted to search fox transfers website without success. Any advice much appreciated thanks.
  15. Everything else seems fine , ie there is definitely power to the track so I'm beginning to think more and more the controller has had it as whatever I press I still have a lit up but blank screen. Would I be right in thinking it is impossible to buy a replacement identical controller now?
  16. Hello, I have dug the above controller out after a gap of 10 years or so, but stupidly mislaid the instructions. I have connected it all up to the transformer etc, and can get the screen to light up but nothing more. It might be that it is knackered , however without instructions I'm not really sure what I'm doing , so could anyone advise on how this controller should be started up? As I said the screen is lit, but no text whatsoever. Any help much appreciated!!
  17. I am looking to 're chassis my lima class 47s with Hornby railroad sound fitted examples and was wondering what work is required to make them fit? Any help appreciated!!
