Why don't we all submit an offer of how much they're really worth, until the seller gets the message ( which may take a while if it's the same mentality as the person still trying to sell this freelance American "boxcar" which is a Bachmann G scale coach with a few resin bits stuck on https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F322727811666 ).
wow a new level of delusional

£650 for two badly built and badly painted kits. You can get RTR versions of these for much less. At least you get a torn up photo with it!
hattons 2nd hand is by far a lot better in this situation

The bogies look like chopped down class 45 power bogies as they have the lead axle on a pivot arm. So probably on old knackered mainline diesel chassis.
Paint job done with a cement mixer in a darkened room too, hmmmmm BARGAIN!!!!
Its a project for someone who likes a challenge to turn a sows ear into a silk purse but not at £649.99
I would offer £6.49 for both the locos in that state and that includes the postage!!

the livery is awful they cannot really want that much fr this loco
-
Very nice but a little high on the price based on the fact there is a RTR model.
It is a shame whenever a loco that was always a kit loco suddenly becomes an RTR model it kills the market for well built kits.
This looks as though it is a well built kit

In the same vein, the price for these:
Is simply eyewatering.
that is expensive for the captains table!!!!

Another ebay silly overpriced piece of old tat.
Please do not spout its rare as TTTE is no longer Hornby blah blah blah.
This hobby is so fast becoming swarmed with "bargain hunters" who think an old knackered model is worth more than its weight in gold. Get a grip on reality guys!!!

It really annoys me when people use the £ sign instead of pence.
Mike.
Highly optimistic in their financial valuation of these highly sought after, very rare items which are in A1 condition with out the original box.
Its a Steal!!! You would be mad not to by this.
Oh wait, you would be mad to buy this, bring on the men in white coats to take me to my padded cell!!!

Seller wants cash only. There goes all your E bay and PayPal protection. I am not saying this seller would do it but paying cash could lead to E bay thinking item was unsold, thus avoiding E Bay's final selling fee.
Probably academic as I don't anticipate a sale at that price.
thanks for that i needed a good laugh

I have done point building on my layout of Merstone using SMP rail and sleepers for the straight track but when it came to the points the track is a continuation of the rail and the points were built in situ to give gentle flowing lines with no dogs legs of reverse curves. I have used the copper clad strip. The picture below is an old one from 2015 so a lot has changed since then. The trackwork on Merstone is to a minimum of 5 foot radius.

The seller is a well known E Bay purveyor of tat & general rubbish at exorbitant prices.
Stuff you or I might give away or throw in the bin.
Being old, dirty & preferably broken makes it rare & collectable.
According to this seller that is.
There are one or two others as well.
Ah i see. as you say we would chuck them in the bin or rob them for spares maybe.
Does he ever actually sell anything then?
Bizarre though how the sellers think they can ask for silly money for a junk.

Weathered
More like left out in the weather.
You only have to look at who's selling it
sorry to sound daft but who is selling it?
-
and this old thing looks almost professionally drop kicked
-
oh look another probably from the same vendor
-
I found this on the buy it now option. I know the TTTE ex Hornby models sell for silly money but this is an old airfix badly painted for £99???

As of last night I started the restoration work on the Bembridge layout. I purchased this layout from its former owner and builder Paul Mays about ten years ago. I purchased the layout and continued to exhibit it but eventually I decided to retire it 5 years ago so that Merstone could take its place. As I have an invite for Warley this year I need to replace the backscene with an in-built control panel, lighting rig, new fascias and tidy up the wiring underneath. I also had some BIG cobwebs and spiders to evict as well.

This is an ideal place to show the list also - the more the merrier. Hopefully it'll increase the chances of the scrotes being caught.....
i was there at the show with my layout. It makes me so angry to think that there is such animosity and lack of respect for others in this day and age. I really hope the guilty party or parites are caught but the punishment never really fits the crime any more. Very sad

It is nicely done and clearly a bit of fun i like the fact that its a lone railcar and in Virgin livery as in it cannot pull!!!
