Progress is being made, honest gov! It's not easy to see progress every week, but @ the beginning of the summer, there was a baseboard, track & temporary electrics. We need a running session soon to test the new electric's & check the baseboard join for running.

My grandmother always said, measure twice, cut once! We've had a problem with the measurement of the fullest extent of the pantograph on a unit or loco?

We are making progress with Eastgate. We've been concidering the plan to install OLE! This has implications on the scenic development, including the Corporation Street bridge & car park.

Construction continues. We are now able to fully involve the whole Eastgate team. The scenic development hopefully will bring Eastgate more alive. We're also planning a running session on a Friday soon!

Progress over the summer has slowed, holidays etc. but now we approach the traditional modelling season.

It is proposed that a warehouse, part victorian with a modern extension to the left of the fiddleyard. Over the entrance on a concrete raft will be a multistorey car park.

We're getting to the stage with Eastgate that we're about to commence building the low relief town centre buildings.

We are getting to the stage with Eastgate that we will shortly start building low relief buildings to represent the town centre.
The 2 photos below the cartoon are the front & back of the fiddleyard area. The fiddleyard is a traverse type.
The final photo is our newly installed NX Panel for the station area.

We're in those weeks of Summer, where little happens @ the club. Steve & myself have installed the new NX type panel for the main part of the layout. Eastgate uses MERG cbus modules, meaning communication is via a 2 wire serial bus, like USB.

I missed the retimed barbecue because of my Scilly holiday! Still I'm back this week. We've had our 1st invitation to an exhibition!

This weeks cartoon is not for those who have a delicate nature! The barbecue is pursponed until the 26th July, next Friday.

We're @ the T&DMRC Open Day on Saturday, seach using T&DMRC. They'll be home made cake, tea coffee & cold soft drinks available. I almost forgot, a warm welcome to modellers at all levels. We have a Junior Section too! We look forward to meeting you!
