  1. Hi all, I've got a new project going and would appreciate your views. I am planning to create an N gauge Rocky Mountaineer set. I shall probably have to repaint models, which will be tricky in N gauge. Does anyone know if there are already any models available?
  2. Hi all, anyone know of a good model shop, close to the Tonbridge/Tunbridge Wells area? I remember there used to be two in Tun. Wells, but they are both now long gone. It seams lots are closing, and our wonderful hobby now requires more travelling.
  3. Hi again all, here's an early planning shot of my "inglenook" layout. It will eventually be on a shelf style baseboard on top of the bookcase, and be analogue controlled, as I'm not into DCC at all yet (backward I know!).
  4. Hi Rosspop, I've heard of that, but not tried it yet. I found clearfix through my model aircraft work. Is it the same process?
  5. Hi all, I've discovered a great adhesive for modelling, called clearfix. Its made by Humbrol, and is mainly designed for aircraft kits etc. It allows me to fix clear plastics without the annoying fogging of the clear parts. I have used it for gluing glazing into plastic building kits. Has anyone else tried this? Let me know, cheers Alex
  6. Hi all, as a fan of american railroads, I enjoy reading the model railroader magazine. Unfortunately, I can no longer find it at whsmiths in Tonbridge. Has anyone else had this problem, or knows where I can get hold of a copy? Thanks Alex
  7. Hi all, here's an interesting theory: I'm planning to build a micro layout based around the much loved "inglenook" style shunting puzzle. My question. Is, can there ever be too many of these shunting type layouts?
