  1. I am sorry I have confused you all. What I meant and wanted to know was in modelling terms what would the average height be in mm at high tide from the water surface to the quayside when modelling in OO gauge?
  2. Although I have modelled in N gauge I am new to OO and just about to start a small layout. The layout will be a harbour scene with shunting facilities. What I would like to know is what would be the average height of a harbour wall from the water level to the quayside? Greg
  3. I have seen a loco for sale that says it is made by Wrenn. As a manufacturer are they any good?
  4. Thank you for the advice. As I am on a budget i'm looking for pre-owned models. What manufacturers would you suggest I look for?
  5. Thank you for the information. I see other makes as in Triang and Airfix. Are these worth buying? Greg
  6. I recently started railway modelling and up till now I have modelled in N gauge only but I'm now looking to also include a OO layout. My questions is that not knowing much about OO locos I see online various Hornby locos being offered, in comparison to N gauge locos, at fairly low prices. Are they worth purchasing or should I be looking at other manufacturers? Best regards, Greg
  7. I would like to know if any members have knowledge of Z gauge. Over the autumn and winter months I want to construct a themed micro layout. I just so happen to have a small board measuring 47cm by 52cm. As the board is small I thought that Z gauge would be a good idea. Can any member who has perhaps constructed a Z gauge layout suggest who are the best manufacturers. I have seen some German locos, rolling stock and scenery but I would prefer the layout to have either British or US locos etc. Also, is there one particular track system that is better than others? Best regards, Greg
