  1. Thanks for replying David. ATM I only have the one circuit in place - Wires from the controllers (yes, one red and one black from each side) as per image 2 to the switch. I have a red/black cable running from the center spades of the switch to a bus wire. I've not connected the terminus or marshalling yard yet. There is just the one connection to the 'track, on the roundy roundy track. If you are saying that what I did SHOULD work then I will look deeper into it to make sure all connections work. There is no soldering except for the wires to the track which are solid EDIT: Thanks very much David. Now I knew what direction to look I found the bad connection :) All sorted now and running! I owe you one :)
  2. Greetings all. I have hunted around these forums but have been unable to find a solution to my issue, My layout is a terminus with businesses through to a marshalling yard but they are connected through a complete circuit. Imagine it's an end to end that utilizes a tail chaser if required to. I have a Duette controller. One side (A) controls the terminus area, the other (B) controls the marshalling yard which represents all locations East. What I want to do be able to control the roundy roundy part with one or the other controllers. I bought a DPDT ON/OFF/ON switch (with six spade terminals on the back) thinking I could switch between controller A and controller B to power it. I ran a wire from the center spades straight to the bus wire for the roundy roundy circuit, connected Controller At o the left two spades and controller B to the right spades thinking that was the easy way to do it. Unfortunately it is not working and I am totally puzzled. Power is going to and coming from the switch. I've checked the connections to the track but no joy. Does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong. I'm seriously not electrically savvy. I have watched numerous YouTube videos and checked wiring diagrams but I am still none the wiser. I'm 54 next month and this is my first layout (sad isn't it! ) so any ideas or help would be extremely gratefully received. I want to run trains!! :D The images below are to try to help you understand what I mean: Image 1 - Green - Controller A. Blue - Controller B. Pink, switch between controller A and B Image 2 - Controller to switch wiring, how I thought it would work :(
