  1. If they have a good turnover on their secondhand stock they must be making up any shortfall on ther new stock turnover. I say this as a person who has been quoted rock bottom prices for goods compared to what they resell them at.
  2. No problem with deliveries from Hattons via Yodel, however Royal Mail when you are not in and you get a tried t o deliver note though the door, you try to get through to Royal Mail through their automated call system, no human interface and finally just an automated voice telling you it can be redelivered in 48 hours. Before the sell off you could speak to your local sorting ofice and have it redelivered next day. So lets not say Royal Mail is wonderful.
  3. Looking through some colour portfolios for additional info on the pull-pushes, keep coming across pic's of the Adams Radial tanks, surely this is a model that is overdue to be manufactured by the main strean rtr factories.
  4. Is it a dastardly plot, if you want the two coach set then you have to buy the M7 with it. To go to all the expense to tool a pushpull set which would be popular with modellers then only produce a short run is questionable or is the question answered in the first line of this E-Mail.
  5. Credit to Simon Kohler for a quick response (before the rumour mill really got into top speed) via Graham clarifying the situation that a further batch would be available in July,
  6. Looking on the Hattons web site this morning the Coach Pack has disappeared completely off the coach section.
  7. Tried to order a set from Hattons, they have sold out their intial delivery, so have done a pre-order forom the next delivery.
  8. Cab number area with the small cast plate.85025
  9. Good for hauling freightliners. Crewe.
  10. If anyone wants to model a 85 that has had a fryup. 85022 at Carlisle Upperby.
  11. Another photo's of 85's same day as previous photos showing with and without small yellow warning panel. E3056 (85001) and E3080 (85025).
  12. Closer look at E3075
  13. E3075 (85020) on a very mixed parcels/freight train. Crewe Aug 1965.
  14. This railbus has the WOW factor, a very, model, Heljan deserved to be congratulated on this one, we had the Derby Ligtweight before Xmas. now roll on the Class 128.
  15. According to British Rail Fleet Survey No8 DMU's First Generation. Original Colour Malachite Green, when overhauled rpainted in dark brunswick green. Awaiting mine from the Liverpool box shifter.
  16. It is disappointing to read in these reviews how some people can make such a fuss about the slightest discrepency in size on models and ignore the fact that the bogies are totally wrong given that they have the incorrect wheel spacing i.e. 16.5 mm. When a model has major issues these threads are invaluable to help and give a solution for the modeller to put right or minimise these faults. Personally I think the Baby Deltic is a lovely model.
  17. Liked the You tube of the Co-Bo with sound, all we need to do now is perfect the smoke generator and have black reek coming out of the flue.

    Hornby B1

As per the last quote I mentioned to the Heljan rep at an exhibition about selling all the Claytons they had recieved back due to the mechanism fault as dummies cos in real life these locos usually ran in pairs and it would be a good way of disposing of these returns. The answer was that they were not intested in selling either chassis or dummies. The only wanted to sell locos.

    Captain Birdseye

Power of the 31's. Plate 31, Block working of 40 Bird's Eye AFB's hauled by D5535, Breydon Curve, Great Yar,outh, 20/07/59.
  20. Another nice wagon to add to the Intermodal traffic, the only problem I am finding is the couplings, I have a mixture of Dapol, Bachmann, Realtrack and Hornby and it is impossible to get them running reliably without uncoupling at some point. Seems I shall have to break the bank and standardize on Kaydee's for the intermodal stock. Anyone any alternative?
  21. Cab view of perhaps D5712 leaving Workington.
  22. I also bought the two new Bachmann 47's and same as Martin E, one set of brake gear lying in the packaging when the loco removed from the box, easily fixable but a bit annoying when it seems to be more than a one off.

    Heljan class 17

There are one or two negative comments about the latest batch of Claytons but on a positive note, recieved mine today by Hattons usual good service, it is a Green one 1707, it runs like a dream and there is no sign of any green overspray, its also nice to recieve a model without any work to do on the bufferbeams.
