  1. Where did you manage to put the weights? When I had the body off I couldn't find any suitable place to put any.
  2. Question for those that have ran their models. Does anyone else find that the driven bogie is far too stiff to allow it to rotate freely? Wasn't able to fully run it in as it noticeably slowed down and struggled on radius 4 curves and almost stalled on some/did stall momentarily on one section of radius 3 curves.
  3. Yes, flat pancake in a split chassis. It has screws that connect the sides of the chassis together through the contact strips holding the brushes in. The motor has started to make the familiar buzzing noise when running DC through it, still no movement.
  4. Evening. I have a Mainline Royal Scot that I fired up tonight and found it to be working pretty well. However it was rather noisy. So I disassembled the motor housing to remove the black gunk from on the commutator (which I just used a dry cotton bud for) and put it all back together, the motor in the train did nothing, no noise coming from the motor or movement in the slightest. I was since taken it apart again and given it a deeper clean, replaced the carbon brushes and springs and still it is lifeless. I am at a loss as to why this has happened. Have I somehow managed to knacker the motor when I cleaned the commutator the first time? Cheers
