  1. Maybe judging by the post Hattons may have said to the factory, make sure the axels are glued on well and they have now gone overboard with the glue. Want to get the Cemex but after working on the two I have which are now running well and I love them. Seems its still a lottery with the new ones for it to be fine or if I have a lot of work to do again. Ohh and yesterday said it was sold out but now theres more in stock?
  2. Also Just hope they used more or a better glue and that the glues in the right places. Count myself very lucky that I applied some glue to the small steps on the ploughs on both my 66s as I just looked at one and it fell off
  3. Thanks for the reply. As I got two new 33s, what I did today is swap around the motors and the problem went with the motor, so replacement motor hopefully will be on its way and I'm sending this motor back to the retailer who will send it back to Heljan. Have to say I do seem to get my share of motor problems, even my Bachmanns have had a few motor swaps. At least they have spares, unlike Heljan.
  4. Hi people, so while running my new EWS class 33 for a week and a bit, it started to misbehave at mid range speed setting. (7-8 from 28 speed steps) above and below these settings it seem to work OK. However todays session when I handled the loco, the body felt warm. Long story short whipped the body shell off, lifted PCB out of the way, felt the motors metal casing and it was to hot to the touch. So question do I have problem with the motor or the ESUloksound5 decoder? Cheers Peter
  5. Better still card glue (not rocket glue) or PVA under the grill and wipe excess of with a damp cotton bud leaving no trace on the paintwork and dries clear
  6. Excuse the bit of fun at the start. 66789 fitted with double i-phone speaker. Which of corse was so easy to fit
  7. I have also done what maybe another punishable offence classy52. I have gone and used double i-phone speakers (to me sounds much better) instead of the EM2 that people are saying gives such wonderful sound and yet I thought it sounds awful .....OK I'm running for cover now never to be seen again
  8. OK people I made a video which explains why the axle boxes can give trouble and by not just enlarging but elongate the hole helps your 66 to run the way it's meant too
  9. Thats what I have done to my axle boxes, had the wobble made the hole slightly larger and elongated. Now all wheels sit squarely on the track, no wobble, no end caps coming off runs sweet
