Thank you for the brilliant information, it seems that there was some confusion as to where the engine went and how it ended up at Big Pit. I was once told it was removed from service as the frame was cracked, do you know if this is true?

Hi all, I am currently at the planning stage of my layout and require some help. I am basing my shunting layout on the exchange sidings for a reasonable size coke works/colliery. I know that the South Wales area has lots of photos and some videos, but does anyone have pictures of Coedely coke works and colliery and know when the steam was removed in favour of the 2 03 diesel shunters?
