  1. Hi, Just picked up on this thread. I too am building Sheffield Midland as close as possible to protoypical scale. I completed construction a purpose built shed over the winter approx 65ft long to accommodate Sheffield Midland, Sheffield Southern approaches, hope valley, Blue circle cement works and importantly Tinsley Traction Depot . I noted that you have built your own track due to limitations of Peco. I too found problems getting the geometry right with Peco but using anyrail came up with a slightly modified track plan which meant shifting a few points slightly but managing to retain about 98% accuracy to the actual track layout (I recognise your google plan of Sheffield, mine is almost exactly the same). While opting for code 100 I simply could not live with the reduced sleeper spacing and so relaid completed track with correctly spaced using www.railwaylaserlines.co.uk gauges. The resulting track is much, much better. I have just set out the running tracks for platforms 5,6,7 and 8 and attach a photo of a 125 entering from the North End. My objective was to fully capture the prototyical sweep of a full length trains. Next step is to complete the platform 8 retaining wall and get Hyde Park Flats is for correct scenery. I sometimes wonder if I have not bitten off too much with this project but I see that you started this thread back in 2014 so maybe I too should give myself 6 years. I think I'll need it. I'll be very interested to see your progress going forward!. All the very best. Richard
