Hey everyone I decided to take some pictures today whilst walking underneath the flyover.

That’s the section in the yard? I heard that there’s sections going over the west central main line where they built the tunnel to Bletchley train station.

Is there any updates at Bletchley? How’s the flyover? Is it completed. I don’t know as I was on holiday for a week.

Any updates at the water eaton road bridge? I also saw a new piler where the new high level station will be.

They obviously realised the problem early on. However, they need access between the two main works sites one of which is on the right by this junction which is also the access to a small industrial estate (several occupants being involved in the motor industry). The other is the old Telephone Rentals site which is to the left of where the picture was taken from.

 

This picture was taken Saturday 16 January.

Did you get a picture of new entrance they are making?

I saw a big yellow digger at water eaton bridge whilst driving. I think that they are doing the curbs for the new site entrance. 

Anyone seen what they have been doing to the water Eaton road bridge for the EWR?

A couple of shots taken around 1500 this afternoon. The large 'corkscrew' was at the Telephone Rentals end of the site off Water Eaton Road no doubt being prepared for tonight's activities.

The crane has been lowered down now for the Christmas break

The road has finally opened after closing in July to opening again back in December, in the new they might re close the road again to replace the bridge.

Work continues to get the road ready for reopening (I was told Friday by one of the workers). They were painting the new hoarding on the carriageway to the western part of Bletchley, wiring the lights and zebra crossing, replacing some of the pavements, removing barriers on the eastern approach road and generally tidying up the site.

 

The reopening of this stretch of road will relieve pressure on Water Eaton Road (total chaos at school times). 

 

The main work site between the station and the flyover is now behind barriers allowing work to be carried out with the railway still operating. This provides a lack of photographic opportunities in this area.

 

We have had a letter from Network Rail advising us that work will be carried out between 24 Dec and 27 Dec replacing the overhead wires. Construction of the new sections of the flyover will commence in the new year. 

 

A section of Water Eaton Road will be closed between the 11th - 15th January to facilitate construction of a new entrance to the worksite between the flyover and the WCML bridge.

 

The photograph shows the WCML with the east bound carriageway nearest the camera.

 

The second picture is looking east towards the town centre.

I heard behind the weldex crane they have a new white crane and piling machine in the site yard where the former telephone rental car park is? 

Any updates today. I see that there was a white crane next to the big yellow and red weldex crane

Even the reduced road space will greatly improve traffic flow under the railway which for the past few months has been reliant on the Water Eaton Road bridge (single carriageway controlled by traffic lights) which has caused severe congestion at school times. 

 

Any updates to Buckingham Road Roundabout recently? 

What have they been doing recently at the Bletchley Flyover Demolition site? 

Buckingham Road will reopen on 17th December according to the sign where the site of the old Enigma Tavern is.

Wow! They nearly completed demolishing pier 28. I wonder when they will demolish the supports on the main line?

The second picture taken from Water Eaton Road shows the crane referred to above being dismantled this morning.

The crane has its crane arm extended higher so they must be lifting something heavy as I saw this afternoon but unfortunately I don’t have no pictures. 

I just seen that they are taking down the weldex yellow and red crane down. Most probably finished using it. 

I wonder if there was any removals last night?

That’s weird I thought they are lifting the piers that crane went quick

Were there any lifts last night on the flyover?

I went and visited the flyover today and noticed where the green crane was there is now a new red crane beside the pub. I wonder what they are doing? I do not have no photos as I was driving at the time.

Not only has it been dismantled but the main part of it was heading up Buckingham Road around 1225 today. The second picture shows it between the trees!

Where is it going or have they finished using it? 

As I went down Bletchley This morning I saw that the yellow and blue crane is getting dismantled
