I saw mid July on the website so I'm guessing they're on the ship or about to be loaded on. Then 8 to 10 weeks transit time, maybe allow a couple extra for the trip around the Cape of Good Hope to allow the ship to avoid the Houthis on the Red Sea coast. Then up the west coast of Africa, up through the Southern and Northern Atlantic and in to (I'm guessing) Southampton, Bristol or Liverpool.

The Maersk container ship I worked on that did a run from China to Europe, berthed at Felixstowe. I suppose it depends on who owns the ship...

In response to Brushman, the ship I was on called at Le Havre, Antwerp, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam and Felixstowe, not necessarily in that order. We took fuel on at Bremerhaven.

Always organic, free range (very) and served poached...

That is posh nosh to us, we actually had fish and chips for two tonight, only a tiny handful of change from £20!

But being health conscious, Miss Riding Hood gave most of her chips to my mate's dog...

Jumbo battered sausage, chips, gravy and a tin of vimto for me.

Ahh, been a while since I looked at them, I thought they were pictures of the blind rolls.

I know Soi Buakhao has video of actual underground destination blind rolls, on his YouTube channel, but, that is no use here.....

Another seller of 30 Class 86? We had one exposed last week!

He was selling as a job lot last week, they are being sold individually now. I'd probably have one if they were £30 each.

Hi, a model of 10001 in BR Green with egg shell blue waistbands based on Bachmann 31-996 before it received a small yellow warning panel would be good. Thanks Fred

Or buy whichever one comes up for sale at the right price, and buy a replacement body shell of the Bachmann spares website. That's what I did, 2 models for the price of one and a half!

  10. Crewe Diesel for me. Being a teen in the late 90's and leaving school in 98, going on days out with my friend to various places around the northwest. Also 37/4's were still working the North Wales coast at that point, so got most of them for haulage between Crewe and Chester/Birmingham New Street. Happy days. I suppose the stabling point we liked would have been Warrington Arpley as we spent a lot of time at Bank Quay station.

As Hurst Models now seem to be (sadly) completely defunct, I'm keen to contact them about purchasing any remaining stock, or artwork for their etches, decals etc. There used to be a phone number on their website but the site is now completely down and the domain up for sale. I have an email address for them but this doesn't seem to reach anyone.

    Any help appreciated,

    Thanks

Did you have any joy with this? Would be after some bits if you did.

Kicking myself now as in 1996 I decided not to buy a roller pickup Princess from Hemel Hempstead antique market due to the deformed Cellulose acetate body

It was marked as about £18 from memory and my logic was that i could get a more modern one for that much...

I think we could all do with Doc Emmet Brown's Delorean for times like this.

Failing that, what you know now, as your younger self..

    Did Heljan do a 37?

I suspect that it is for a Vi Trains version - that needed much fiddling and painting for buffer furniture. The "snow ploughs" are some of the yellow bits - no idea what the sprue of little yellow ones are for.

As far as I'm aware Heljan only do an 0 gauge 37. So it is quite possibly a Vi-Trains one as stated above.

Not something you see everyday - 30 of the same Hornby class 86 in one lot.

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335351522679

Who would want or need 30 of the same locomotive? Perhaps a failed project to model the WCML, and, they were to be renumbered? Whoever originally purchased them did so from at least 3 different shops. I feel there should be more in the description as to where they came from and why, but, obviously the seller doesn't have to say. They definitely have an interesting background.

I've always been utterly baffled by TMC prices when you compare at other retailers!

Though I did get one of their exclusive peaks with £40 off the rrp. Though some of their second hand prices have landed them on here in the past.
