  2. I went to relatives in Allerton by train to Liverpool South Parkway and then bus last Saturday.

The driver was really helpful and gave me a shout when we got near the stop I needed.

All bus fares in Liverpool are £2 for adults at present - excellent value!

I'm sure some diehards would like to return to the heady days of twin Fragonset 31s sandwiching some LH coaches.... Even I was persuaded to have a ride on that. Then there were my friend Catherine's bubble cars - she managed the leases.

With the coaches being named “Annie” and “Clarabel” - they were fun times on the branch!

  4. Hi.

You can also run JMRI on Mac OS on a Mac device or on Linux devices but not on an iPad/iPhone.

If you have a Windows PC, Mac/Macbook or Linux device, you install JMRI on there, there are then Apps like WiThrottle that run on the iPad to allow you to control your trains using the JMRI device as an interface.

Hope that helps take care :)

  5. I’ve recently put Linux Mint on an ancient ASUS laptop, there is a cut down version designed for older devices.

Its made the laptop completely usable again, just need to get JMRI working on it and I’ll be a very happy bunny!!

Yeah I was told much the same, HR is there to protect the company first. I've been burned already by thinking I can trust someone and being betrayed. I don't tell my colleagues anything personal now.

I learnt in my very first job to keep work and home as completely separate entities - that has never let me down and I’ve seen so many people get hurt over the years.
