  1. New Models listed on Oxford Web Site

In 1/76 vehicles include Ford Transit Van London Dockland railways, Ford Transit Crew cab/pickup body dropside Stobart Rail, JCB 7 track loader and Red Combine Harvester. Plus other cars vans wagon in various scales.

  2. Always assuming the pictures are of the production items, they are of a very high standard, so I'd expect the latter.

The terraced shop etc. look to be of a fairly "industry standard" level but the GWR water tower and the pub look better than almost any other r-t-p structures I've seen up to now.

If you look on Oxford Diecast web site home page and go to bottom right box Oxford Diecast 1.76 press view it shows 4 buildings  with price. GWR water tower £24.99, Hazel Cottage (not pub) £29.99 and both shops are £26.99

  3. Oxford have displayed some unannounced models at the Hong Kong Toyfair. Amongst them were what appears to be a Leyland Tiger Cub/ Gloster Saro bus in Ribble colours, and a box van with an Albion cab previously used in a Tesco promotional model.

Announcement of the next release programme should be around the date of the London Toyfair about 10 days from now.

The Albion is in Coca Cola livery and packaging with no sign of Oxford Diecast on front view. Also shown is a Scania 94D curtainside  in Coca Cola livery with same style of packaging. You can find pictures on Facebook site

  4.

I didn't get to visit them, ran out of time, but they had a display and the model Fowler BB1 ploughing engine should have been launched at the show

Hope these pictures are a help, Southdown ticket office is new not incurrent release programme. Also had a nice chat with Taff today asked about them doing a skip wagon it would depend on demand, so if you what them to do one you need to let them know.post-4835-0-62387800-1472411021_thumb.jpg

  5. Most of the newly announce new models are now listed on Oxford Diecast web site pages, go to each scale and then all page to find them. However I could not see listed new flat-bed and low-loader trailers in 1/76 scale list, it is late or early morning.

  6. Just been looking at new list could we be lucky with the Daf 105 Skeletal Trailer Freightliner. Is this a new casting of a 3 axle skeletal trailer ?, when looking at previous Oxford lists container trailers have always been described as combi trailer (D-Tec)  lets hope its the basic 3 axle version seen on the roads more than the combi types.

  7. For all you modellers who live in the Poole, Bournemouth & Christchurch area, Platform Models have now reopen a new shop in the same premises as Model Railway Solutions at Unit 1, 10-12 Alder Hills, Poole, Dorset BH12 4AL, tel 01202 798068. Opening hours Tue - Sat 10am to 5pm, here my tip of the day its in walking distance from Sainsbury store at Wallisdown. Called in today and they already have a good selection of N & OO stock both new and old.

  8. Although the truck is referred to as a Commando strictly speaking the name only applies to the PSV chassis. A moot point anyway as the only differences was the axle ratio and spring rate. (The lorry was officially the Q4).

Wikipedia shows the Commando truck that I was talking about 'Dodge 100 Commando' built during the 1970s & 1980s.

  9. It seems that Jaguar/Land Rover are quite happy if not eager to licence models of their products. Other manufacturers do not seem to be as eager, thats why you won't be seeing any Mercedes models from Oxford any time soon. Even EFE have recently bought out a new version of the Mercedes minibus without the Mercedes star as the licencing fees are prohibitive.

Just seen picture of Oxford Diecast 1/43 Merc Sprinter ice Cream van with Mercedes star in front grille panel on Facebook. With a comment from Taff saying this will be scale down to 1/76.
