Moose is a Structural Engineer, currently working on a 1:160 scale layout in a 10 ft x 10 ft spare bedroom.
The era is set in the late 1930's - early 1940's, when steam locomotives ruled the rails and early disease'els were prone to cough enough smoke to make even a steam locomotive engineer choke (think North American ALCO's).
Moose also has oddly collected a fair amount of mostly Era 3 British outline n scale locomotives over the years and has been amazed at the fine modeling found in British model railroad magazines, so Moose has joined this RM forum in hopes of learning more about the British MRR modeling...

I love it when my own stuff turns up on Google Images. Makes me feel like I've made an impact in the two short years I've been doing this.

The BBC news website has an article on the Dyatlov Pass incident. Slow news day? God their reporters must be so bored if this is considered news. It happened 60 years ago!

Sylmasta took my money almost a week ago, and still no order confirmation or notice of dispatch. Uncool Sylmasta, uncool.

Why doesn't the NMRA convention website give opening times or entry prices? Seems like that would be really important information!

Just finished erecting a flagpole in the garden. A Union flag has been raised, but I need to source one more durable than a souvineer from a museum.
